I have been playing about with the web since about 1996 and have a number of my own websites, Alex's Paper Airplanes and Alex's Cocktail Recipes are the websites I am most proud of.

Alex's Paper Airplanes led to me writing a book about paper airplanes which was produced as a box set for Marks and Spencers in 2003 to 2005 and the first edition is shown in the picture below at the top of the pile of books. It has now sold over 150,000 copies which is awesome to just think about.

At eBay.co.uk I worked in the affiliate programme trying to drive as many users to eBay.co.uk as possible and paying great rates to those who drive that traffic. Why not give it a go yourself? I am now working at HQ in San Jose in an internal communications and best practice sharing role which means I work hard to ensure everyone globally is right up to speed with our best projects and ideas across the company. It is a real challenge and really exciting.

In my spare time I used to love rowing but now I spend pretty much all of my time working. When I do get spare time I live to cycle and I still play around a lot with paper folding, origami and making paper airplanes as well as writing websites.
