What I will do and not do:
Having bought more than 300 items on ebay, I think I know what buyers don't like: dishonesty, fake items, ott postage and waiting for days till an item gets posted.. I will try my best to always be honest and fair and not use postage as a means to make money as I deplore it. I won't let you wait for your item and will try to post as soon as payment has cleared. In any case, I will always keep you informed. I leave feedback as soon as I received it, not weeks later. Ebay has changed its feedback policies and it used to favour sellers, now it favours buyers; maybe one day ebay actual finds a fair system - as it stands, it is joke (~if you got a moment to spare, read my guide about fb~). If there is a problem, please get in touch - I believe that straightforward communication is always the best means to solve a problem. Please reciprocate feedback as soon as item has arrived. All items will arrive freshly laundered and will be posted in tissue paper and a durable waterproof bag.
what i expect from you: i expect you to pay within the time limit and to contact me if there is a problem. i also expect you to leave feedback within a reasonable time frame. i always do it immediately and i don't think it's a lot of hassle (unless you let it build up). also, please fill the star rating out as ebay decides how much exposure an item gets depending on the rating. now you and i might think that 4 out of 5 stars is good but ebay doesn't think so. so please if you are happy, rate the service with 5 stars. and if you're unhappy, drop me a line 'thought it took to long' - whatever m- i aim to please (not ebay but ebayers) and will do my best. ebay considers everything below 4.5 as 'poor' (strange, why don't the name it poor, 4 stars give a positive impression and penalize sellers with an overall rating of 4.5 or less.
History/background
I have worked in retail as my father was a businessman and I also had my own shop. My main interest is in fashion and this is reflected in what I sell. I will never sell what I wouldn't be happy to wear myself. Cothes are either new or have been worn but are always in a good, wearable condition. I don't sell rubbish and if there is a fault, I will point it out. Of course, they'll be clean on arrival. I am married without kids and work as a two-legged servant for my cat Panda, and also freelance as an English-German translator.
Payment policy/Shipping
paypal, cheque and postal orders for UK buyers. Postage should never exceed the cost for stamps plus a modest amount for packaging - around fifty pence. If I overcharge by more than 30p, I will refund. OTT postage always puts me off and I won't do what I don't like to be done to me. I only offer 'recorded' as it costs only 72p and is safer and trackable to an extent. If you really want your item sent unrecorded - please contact me and I will refund 70p - I wouldn't recommend it though. Of course, I am happy to combine postage. The same guidelines as before apply - it doesn't matter how many items you buy, they'll all be weighed, 50p added and that's it. I am very happy to sell to WESTERN-EUROPE, US, CANADA AND AUSTRALIA but accept only paypal from international buyers. Please contact me for postage fees. For your and my safety, I prefer to send items airsure...but I am aware that airsure is fairly expensive (currently £4.20) and if you feel you rather take the small risk of your item getting lost in the mail, then let me know asap. I am not familiar with claiming abroad; I will send you proof of postage but that's all I can do - the decision is yours. Items are usually posted the same day after payment cleared but within 48 hours at the latest - I will always keep you informed. I cannot be held responsible for items lost in the mail. I will always retain proof of postage and help you file a claim should an item get lost. Queries will be answered within 24 hours at the latest, usually earlier but I am not glued to my laptop, so please be patient (a bit)!
i just had a case of a buyer using my picture to sell it on. apparently, she thought i was 'overreacting' as i expected her to at least ask me if she could use my picture. to clarify: i think it's up to each seller to take their own picture but there are exceptions: you might not have a camera or it's broken: in this case, please ask me and i am only to happy to help.in general: using someone's people can lead to you being reported and your account suspended - look it up under ebay's regulations ('picture theft')
Please contact me within 3 days of end of auction and pay within 7 days. If you need a bit more time, contact me before the auction - we can always work something out. If you got any problems, please get in touch. Life happens and ebay is only part of it. If you 'buy it now', I'll pay p&p - only within the UK though, sorry.
Return policy, international sizing
Sorry, no, I am not M&S. Of course, I will fully refund - including postage - if I misrepresented an item but not if you got the size wrong or your boyfriend doesn't like it. All items are checked carefully for possible faults by myself and a second person and mentioned but everyone can make mistakes.
Please always check my measurements! They are taken with the item lying flat and then doubled. I will always point out whether an item has stretch as it makes quite a difference. For European buyers: an inch equals 2.5cm. Sizes can be generally quite confusing - even within one country - as each brand has its own standards; a TopShop 10 might be an M&S 8, so measurements are always the safest way to go by. However, as a rough guide, a UK 10 equals a US 6, in most European countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium etc. a 36, in France a 38/40 and in Italy a 42/44.
Contact information
and some more info:
I am very happy to sell to newbies but if you have less than 3 transactions,or a low feedback score, please email me first as I might have to cancel your bid if I don't hear from you. Of course, if you only had 10 transaction and one went wrong, then it's less significant than negative feedback based on a higher number of transactions. Ebay rules and policies apply. Non-paying bidders will be reported. As I said, if you have a problem, contact me - in my experience everything can be sorted without starting a dispute but if you don't get in touch, you leave me no option. Communication is very important and I expect that you contact me before leaving negative feedback - let's keep it fair.
And my bit for charity:
I am a great believer in supporting animal charities and 10% - or a minimum payment of £2 goes to 'Born Free', a charity that helps animals in need. Please google for them and have a look at their excellent work. In the future, I occasionally might support other charities such as the RSPCA or the Cat Protection League, the Mayhew shelter or any other animal charity.
