I have been immersed in antiques and collectibles since I could walk. My parents brought me to numerous tag sales, antique shows and stores, auctions, flea markets, even train shows and used me when I was young to negotiate better prices on items. My parents never sold their collectibles although my mother had always wanted to open a shop. We always teased her it would be the emptiest antiques shop for miles because she can not part with her treasures!

As I grew up, my interest in collectibles and the past did not wane, my passion even continued in school with me as I majored in History. I continued to shop alone and accumulated quite a varied assemblage of all sorts of items. Then I met my husband 8 years ago and dragged him to his first auction. My husband prior to this had not actively sought out collectibles but he did come into our relationship with quite a few boxes filled with his personal finds over the years. He fell asleep at the first auction but then he got into it. We lived at the time in a small one bedroom apartment and we had no storage so we decided to start selling in 1999 on the venue which had been supplying me with cross-stitching kits and fabric, eBay! We kept buying and with both of us working and less room to walk around the apartment, we sought another place to sell as well. So in September of 1999 we inquired at the largest local antiques, gifts and collectibles shop in our area, the Scranberry Coop in Andover, N.J. We moved in right away and have been there as well since. We find eBay and a brick and mortar shop to be a wonderful combination. We continued going to auctions and tag sales. My once sleeping auction mate had become a little too over-zealous so he lost his paddle privileges (never give someone the ability to bid when they do not know what they are doing or they take it personally when someone bids against them).

I continue to frequents shows, shops, auctions and expand my inventory. We no longer live in a house, it is a storage unit which we tunnel through along with our four fur babies.
