We are Cherry - we make keyboards!

Well, not just keyboards actually - mice and smartcard readers as well. Plus, on the 'darkside', we also make a variety of microswitches, sensors, cooker controls and automotive switches.

Our business is wide and varied and we've been around for 50 years. Founded by Walter Cherry in the USA and now controlled by his son Peter, our roots are in America. However, we are a global organisation, with our main manufacturing and design plant in Auerbach, Germany, as well as offices and distributors across the world.

Our range is vast within the computer input device (CID) area, from standard keyboards and mice like those found on every desktop, to the latest cutting edge technologies, such as smartcard or biometric (fingerprint) readers. We like to think we have a keyboard to suit everyone and the range reflects this well. Starting from a standard 105 key keyboard, many tweaks in technology are made to create keyboards with programmable Multimedia keys, those with an audible click on each key or simply something robust for more than home use.

Cherry prides itself on customer service and we certainly do not like to receive poor feedback. Our products are made to the highest quality and tested in our factory literally to destruction to ensure the longest life-span available, so returns are rare though they do of course happen. If a product sold through ebay fails, please let me know. We try to despatch within 2 working days of the order being placed and delivery via Parceline courier is a two day service. If you need them sooner, for an extra fee, we can sort this out for you next day.

A little about me:

I've been working for Cherry for over 10 years and control the ebay shop as one of my tasks here. On a normal day, I'm dealing with our distributors and some end customers to process their orders, though this has been a diversion from the norm. I'm the only technical support person here in the UK, so offer a responsive service to sort out probelms as they arise - be it by email, telephone or in some cases, visiting customers directly to solve technical issues.

Cherry is a great company to work for, customer focused and ethical in it's approach to business - this is reflected in the length of time we've been in business and by the loyalty shown to us by our customers over the years. We're not always the fastest or most innovative, but certainly the most reliable and undoubtedly the best (well, I would say that wouldn't I??)
