Hello, my name is Barbara and I have been on Ebay since 6th August 2002.
I am a teaching assistant and work with special needs children......rewarding but very stressful!! We t.a.'s only get paid for 45.13 weeks of the year not 52....in this day and age you reckon we would be paid the same way as the teachers ......plus teachers get inner London weighting allowance and us poor t.a.'s only get outer London weighting!!
I am married with one teenage son who is at University College London doing a Msci 4 year Geology degree. He started in Septemeber 2005. My other half is retired! But was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in 2005.. He has had two lots of Chemo and one of Radiotheraphy and the tumour has shrunk a little. He is going to have more chemo this month to try and rid the fluid caused by the cancer in his right lung.
At first I used to buy, buy and buy ART DECO and did not do much selling at all........but then I caught the Ebay ''bug'' and began selling!!
Unfortunately I have had SEVERAL experiences of nasty characters on here..............scammers and time-wasters, luckily they are in the minority as most people I have come encountered have been really lovely and genuine people
(BUT THIS IS WHERE MOST OF MY NEGATIVE FEEDBACKS HAVE COME FROM, AS YOU WILL SEE SOME HAVE (-1) OR (0) FEEDBACKS AFTER THEIR NAME AND HAVE NOT BOUGHT OR SOLD BEFORE OR SINCE ME!!
THIS IS WHY NOW I SAY I WON'T TAKE BIDS FROM ANYONE WITH LESS THAN (10) FEEDBACKS AS I THINK AFTER (10) I CAN PROBABLY TRUST PEOPLE.
Just recently I had a bid on our Peugeot 406 from someone in Poland!! He won the car but of course never made contact or paid!!!
Forgive me If I sometimes sound harsh or come across as hard but I do get a bit fed up with people who do not read the listings properly
I do not take cheques at the moment
I prefer paypal not echeques though thru paypal!!
I don't accept bids from anyone with less than (10) feedbacks UNLESS they have contacted me first and convinced me that they are genuine!!
Winning buyers must contact me as soon as auction is over and within 24 hours preferably!!
Payments must be received within 5 days (no exceptions) unless by prior arrangement
