I thought it was time for a bit of an update.....so here it goes. I have now been selling on ebay for about 18 months, and what a journey its been, what started as a bit of fun has now taken over my life!!!!! I have developed a real passion for all things vintage / antique and what a learning curve its been and so much fun. My greatest passion is for vintage / antique jewellery, especially the real sparkly bits (I am a bit of a Magpie). My collection is growing by the day and I really am very proud of the beautiful pieces of jewellery I have collected. I buy from ebay and also local Auction, and as well as selling the jewellery I do not wish to keep, I also have a habit of bidding on other bits and pieces, really to fund my jewellery habit! I try my hardest to sell with honesty and integrity, but I do make mistakes (but am of the opinion that is the only way you learn).
I think Ebay is a wonderful place to sell, and I have heard some fascinating stories from some of my buyers. I spent many years working in local radio within customer services, and I have very strong opinions about customer relationships. I believe the customer is always right and my customers are very important to me, whether they pay 50p for an item, or 00.00, they deserve the same care, attention and most importantly service. I also believe that most people are good and honest and the exceptions are few and really not worth worrying about.
I do not profess to be an expert in jewellery or antiques, my ethic is to describe items as honestly as I can and be responsive to questions and queries. Please take a look at my items for sale, feel free to ask as many questions as you need to, and be assured that I try to the best of my ability to look after you as a customer and I hope if you do decide to bid, that your buying experience will be a positive one and maybe you will return again to my auctions. HAPPY BIDDING!
I would also like to add, that if you bid and win any of my items and on receipt you find that you have a problem, please DO contact me. I believe communication is the key to every transaction, and if you do not tell me you are unhappy I cannot put it right!
My terms and conditions are fairly straight forward, you bid, you win, you pay, and I send! I do ask that you pay within seven days, or if that is not possible that you contact me within seven days. I am a fair person, if there is a problem I will wait for payment, but please do contact me. I also try to despatch my items within 24 hours of payment. I do this because as buyer I really want my item quickly and I imagine others feel the same, also if you pay quickly, I send quickly then everyone is happy! I would just add one more point. I sell the majority of my items in auction format therefore you choose how much you wish to pay for an item, I do not set a price!
Returns! This is a real sticky subject on ebay. I am more than happy to refund payment for items if you feel my description is misleading, however I am not willing to refund for buyer remorse, once again, its an auction, you are in control of the price, not me!
Postage: I try to keep my postage costs fair, however I do add a small amount for packaging materials (which can be very expensive), also its important to remember, packaging takes a lot of time, especially with delicate items. I am not responsible for items lost in the mail, however I will go to great lengths to assist you if an item does not arrive. In my experiences only 1% of items go missing and nine times out of ten, they usually end up back where they started! If an item is damaged in the post, then it is my responsibility and I will always refund for items broken, after all I packaged them!
MULTIPLE PURCHASES: I am more than happy to combine postage on multiple items, however I would ask that you settle invoices within seven days of your first purchase.
I now I keep adding to this, and congratulations if you have got to the end of my wittering, but I would like to add one more thing. A lot of the pieces I sell are vintage and as such have some age to them, they will therefore show some wear and tear. You really cannot expect something that is sometimes nearly one hundred years old to be as a new item. PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND WHEN BIDDING.
