FS2004 Tommahawk from Flying Club, that's me on the right.

My home cockpit

Wearing one of my favourite ebay purchases with backing shot of the aircraft it flew in...

Well as the title suggests I am a 'home pilot'. Don't have a pilots license, can't fly real tin, but really enjoying flying on the PC. I have been flying long enough to build up lots of 'hardware' around my sim to add to its realism. This gives me twin throttles / mixture controls for twin turboprops. Single HOTAS throttle and stick for combat and helicopter. Rudder Pedals, radio modules, and a proper yoke for larger or GA planes. I have a desktop home 'cockpit' as shown right, and plans to build an enclosed cockpit in the future. I have also done 1 hour as PIC of a light aircraft, and in my youth landed jump seat in a 747 into Heathrow.
I fly everything I can get my hands on, from fighters to GA aircraft and the occasional helicopter. I suppose part of me wishes to be the helicopter pilot you see in beach rescue, flying out in the sea king to help a stranded sea farer. The realist in me knows that GA is where to go, and you will rarely see my flying the big stuff like a 747, it just isn't me. To add the finishing touches to my flights I own a MK3 C 'Bonedome', purchased from Ebay which in European Air war allows the planes it used to fly in to be taken for a spin. Or if I want a more GA (General Aviation) feel I have a couple of headsets. 30Db sound attenuation, bliss, try hearing the kids through that ;o)
Below is a list of the flight sims software I enjoy, although 99% of the time I am in FSX:
Microsoft Flight Sim 2004
Microsoft Flight Sim X (Version 10)
X-Plane
Falcon 4
European Air War
Microsoft Combat Flight Sim 3
In the virtual world you will find me in various forums, and flying out of Shoreham aboard a Piper Warrior (See photo, yes that is me as Just FLight allow you to map your own photo into the sim in FS2004), or running around Aseroth (World of Warcraft) with the wife. Off the PC I love spending time with the family, Terry Pratchett, British comedy TV shows and rock climbing. Finally I collect Sea King Helicopters in Corgi 1:72 scale, and occasionally get threatened with divorce over my accumulating 'junk'.
Anyway hope this goes some way to putting the person behind the ebayer.
