Welcome to my page!
Hi! I joined Ebay on April 3rd 2001 and yes, my nickname is Izzy and I do indeed sell items! (lol) I thought I'd have a page to let you know the type of items I'm interested in buying and the sorts of things I sell including my current listings and some additional information about me as a seller.
Me as a buyer
Well what can I say? I like buying some of everything on Ebay really. Over the last year I think I've really caught that Ebay bug! though I particularly enjoy watching TV and movies, so I'm keen on buying DVDs.
I like alot of movies but mainly comedies and action/adventure/dramas, as well as TV shows, DVDs of those kinds I look out for. I don't really have a favourite actress but I guess if asked I'd say its either Drew Barrymore or possibly Sandra Bullock and my favourite actor is Owen Wilson. Some of my favourite movies include The Green Mile, Nothing to Lose, It Could Happen To You, City of Angels, Groundhog Day and Shanghai Noon & Shanghai Knights. I also enjoyed the Rush Hour movies, I like Jackie Chan's comedies (though I thought The Tuxedo was a bit of a disappointment). If your interested, I post alot of movie/DVD reviews on Ciao UK, where my username is IzzyS.
I also enjoy playing video games and I currently have a Playstation 2 (just bought in June 2007), Nintendo DS and a Sony PSP, though to be honest I neglect my PSP quite a bit :-( so im mainly interested in Playstation 2 (PS2) and DS games. I like platform games and am currently hooked on New Super Mario Bros, though I also like driving games. So obviously any of those kind of games on those platforms that look good and are particularly cheap, I look out for, buying-wise.
I also buy other things though, I quite enjoy browsing through the different categories and seeing whats on offer. Anything interesting and cheap I'll have a look at and may buy, pretty much!.
Me as a seller
I mainly sell DVDs and video games (ie mostly Nintendo DS, PSP & PS2 games I've finished or found boring) (so yeah the same things I look for to buy, I guess you could say its a bit like an Ebay circle of life!).
I only sell things that I no longer use or have a need for anymore. I'm a bit of a hoarder and if I don't sell on my unwanted items I just end up running out of space for new things, so I put items up for sale fairly often to try and make room for new things that I want and to help go towards paying for them. Selling is just a hobby for me, though I quite enjoy it, especially when I get nice feedback comments from buyers happy with their transaction (I don't tend to sell my items for particularly large amounts of money, giving the buyer a pretty good deal I reckon for the majority of the time, unless bidding gets high, though I do offer pretty cheap buy it now prices on quite a few of my auctions, with low starting prices to better guarantee a sale). I always appreciate nice feedback comments, it lets me know I must be doing something right! and of course in general it helps my self esteem.
Here's some information you may find useful if your interested in bidding in one of my auctions:-
* As far as DVDs are concerned, I never sell illegal/pirated copies or ex rentals, only legitimate DVDs that you'd buy in the shops.
* I'm always as thorough as possible when it comes to describing each items condition. I note all marks/flaws/creases/scratches etc., no matter how small or seemingly insignificant they may be, so you can bid in confidence knowing exactly what your bidding on & what you'll receive if your the winning bidder!.
* I never use stock or library photos, the only photos I provide in my listings are photos of the actual item(s) you'll receive. This means you know that I already have the item(s) to hand (ie. its not a scam and all items I already have) & you can see in as clear detail as possible, exactly what you'd be bidding on.
* Unless otherwise stated (check item listing to be sure), I accept payment through PayPal, though please note that I do NOT accept PayPal payments that are made by buyers who haven't had their account verified and don't have a confirmed address - if you wish to pay with PayPal, be sure to at the absolute minimum have your account verified (which is a pretty simple procedure) & preferably also have a confirmed address. Having both a verified account & a confirmed address makes transactions much safer and it appeals to all Ebay sellers, so I would most definitely recommend taking the time to verify your account & address if you havent already, it only needs to be done once and avoids any problems with sellers fussy about this in the future. I also accept personal cheques. Check individual listings to be sure which payment methods I accept for each item but these are the basic methods and policies I go by, for general reference.
* I mail items by Royal Mail (either first or second class standard and sometimes I also offer recorded delivery, depending on the item being sold (check the listing for details of which services are offered)) within a maximum of 3 working days of receiving cleared payment (within 3 working days of the cheque clearing, cashing in a postal order or of receiving notification of payment to my PayPal account). However I aim to dispatch items within 2 working days & generally do manage that (just on rare occasions it may take up to a maximum of 3 working days, depending on how busy things are with me personally, hence I say 3 maximum).
* I always keep buyers informed by emailing them to confirm once their item(s) have been posted, so they know when to expect them to arrive in the mail.
* I always leave feedback for all buyers (and sellers) (so please do the same for me!).
* As mentioned above, im always honest about the condition of the items I sell and I also always take care to package items securely, however I do also offer a returns policy to re-assure buyers. I accept returns within 7 days of the item being received and a full refund will be issued, though the P+P costs for returning items will have to be covered by the buyer and items must be returned in the same condition as they were received in. Particularly large and heavy items I may only offer a partial refund for covering the item price, presuming the original postage charge was high (as otherwise I may not see it as being particularly financially feasible to give a full refund), but this only applies to particularly bulky/heavy items (most items I sell wouldn't be affected by this) and you would still receive a partial refund. Check individual item listings to be sure whether full or partial refunds are offered on returns.
Please be sure you want the item before bidding as if you return an item due to changing your mind and not being interested in owning it anymore, you will have to pay to mail it back to me (if its a bulky item you may only get the item price refunded), so please be sure you really want each item and are happy with your highest bid offer before you bid.
* If you have any queries or questions about an item, you can contact me through the 'ask seller a question' link on the item listing.
Here are the current items I have up for sale here on Ebay:-
To protect bidder privacy, when the price or highest bid on an item reaches or exceeds a certain level, User IDs will be displayed as anonymous names. For auction items, a bold price means at least one bid has been received.| Item | Start | End | Price | Title | High Bidder / Status |
|---|
**If your still unsure or at all worried about buying from me as a seller, please feel free to check my feedback and be aware of the fact that I have been an active member here on Ebay for over 6 years, hopefully this will help ease any worries**
Thanks for visiting my 'about me' page!
