I have been trading on ebay since 2004.
There is no huge warehouse or factory where the gowns and costumes are
produced. It's all done by me, by hand, from my home.
I was originally from Poole, in Dorset
(England), where I spent my child hood and late teenage years. Now,
however, I have more of a Nomadic lifestyle due to being married to a
service man. On average we move every two years.
After leaving Talbot Heath Independent Girls
School I attended The Arts Institute (Bournemouth), where I studied
art and and design. After leaving The Arts Institute, I did work full
time for a few years, in IT and with the RAF. Now however, I spend all
my time sewing or caring for my family.
Many of the gowns and dresses that I sell on
ebay are historically based. I don't claim that they are historically
accurate, however I do take much of my inspiration from gowns created
though history. From Medieval gowns through to the more modern
Victorian style gowns. I occasionally do more diverse work, which may
include ball gowns, bridal gowns or gothic style clothing. I am
generally happy to produce any thing that has flare or that is
somewhat over the top, and not the sort of thing you will find in any
High Street shop.
Each dress is hand crafted by myself. I do not
outsource any of my dresses or employ anyone else to work with me.
Each dress is made with the love, care and attention to detail that
you will not find in any factory made garments that are mass produced.
The dresses I produce will last you for years to come and are an
investment that you can have years of pleasure from.
As well as making to sell, I also offer a custom
gown and dressmaking service. Where I will work with you to make your
gown fit you perfectly. For many of my "made to sell" gowns, I try and
make them (where possible) multiple sized, by lacing, modesty panels
etc. As a dressmaking service I will also make dresses and gowns to a
commercial pattern, ideal for those who are attending a prom or ball
and wish to have a properly made and fitting gown, with out the cost
of a custom made one off gown. Please be aware that the dress making
and custom gown service is primarily for people who live locally to
me, however I can work long distance if required, please see my
