Blue Tiger~ Do you Dare to Wear?..One of a kind hand crafted jewellery made from a selection of beads that I collect from all over the world. Contemporary and sometimes quirky, great if you are looking for something a little different.
I dont what it is I love about beads, but Im sure all you other bead addicts out there will understand..... I just love them.
I first became interested in beads and jewellery about 13 years ago while at Art college, studying Fashion design
I had just moved into my first student flat and I was looking through an interior design mag to get a few idea's on
how to spruce it up abit, when I came across an advert for a bead company and thought how nice the beads looked. I ordered a catalogue and that was it... I was hooked!! On a college trip to london, where I was surposed to be researching designer's, I spent most of it in covent garden's ' beadworks' shop, shopping for beads
I had intended to start up my own business then, but life sort of got in the way! Now a single parent with three children, Aged 11, 9 and 3
The oldest two are in school and I needed something creative to do!! After a massive house clearance on ebay, I decided to try selling a few peice's of the jewellery I had made, and to my surprise the peices I listed sold!!! So I opened up my shop and now sell some beads too, including my own handcrafted poly clay roses.
I have had designs feature in bead magazine and a book called 'the beaders colour mixing directory' by Sandra Wallace. I also have two items due to feature in a book called 'Beading with semi precious stones' by Kim Gover due out in early 2009
anyone who has bought my charm bracelets will know I always include a little gift. I am often asked where I buy them from
