Wood is just one of the most beautiful things ~ the smell, the feel, the colours, the patterns ~ I just love everything about it ~ even the splinters!
I combine my great passion for natural wood with another passion of mine that is WORDS! We all hold equally the power to change people's lives with just a few words so to be given the opportunity to combine WOOD and WORDS and (Joy of Joy!) PAINTING is a Gift from Heaven ~ I feel truly privileged to create each and every piece!
I cut and plane each piece and the corners and edges are gently rounded or routered. Layers of hand mixed paints, wax and sanding are applied over a few days and my letterwork is always done using professional artist quality Acrylic. Each piece is sealed and a hanger attached so it's all ready to hang as soon as you receive it!
I Always Offer A Refund On Receipted Return Within 7 Days If You Are Anything Other Than 100% HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!!
My Shabby Chic Style
My pieces are intended to look worn, distressed, old, shabby chic, vintage - they are supposed to look as if they have been with us for some considerable time and have been very much loved!
This is a beautiful gentle style, however, if it is not your style, then please do not bid nor buy as I would not want you to be disappointed.
Each piece is totally unique ~ wood grain, knots, shabbiness etc will vary and will all add to each piece's gentleness and totally unique nature. I always display a number of detailed photographs with each piece offered for sale to enable you to see the exact detail of each piece. You are always very welcome to contact me for more details on any piece listed.
A Little Bit About Me!
I suppose an "About Me" has to have a little information about "ME"! ~ So I'll try not to bore you too much and make it as short as I possibly can!
I'm a "Welsh Valleys Woman", who like so many of us, works hard and plays gently. I have 3 children (My Blessings) and as well as being a self employed artist I also work in Palliative Care ~ something I am immensely proud and privileged to do. I have already mentioned my great passions for WORDS, WOOD & PAINTING (I am a self taught artist and daily painter and occasionally sell some of my other art work here on ebay!) But my other great passions are My FAITH, FAMILY, FRIENDS, MUSIC, DOLL MAKING/SCULPTURE, LITERACY, and I'm going to be very honest here ~ TRASHY TELEVISION ~ I just love it!!! We all need some balance in our lives!!! OK that's enough about me! I would love to hear from you though ~ so once again, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions etc.
