My main hobby is restoring and servicing analogue tape recorders, especially Revox, Studer, Teac, Tascam & Technics. I have had reel tape machines since 1957 and find them fascinating. There is nothing quite like seeing those large reels rotating with sweet sounds coming from your speakers. I buy old tape machines and spend many hours lovingly restoring them to life.

Because of my love of high end audio, people often ask me to sell their gear for them. I take the same care with this gear that I do with my own restorations, testing  thoroughly.

I do not charge for packing unless I have to buy it for you and I only charge the actual postage or carriage costs. For sensitive audio products I use professional packers Mail Boxes Etc. in Birmingham, at minimal cost to you. The goods will be very well protected and hopefully reach you without damage. The advantage of using them is that they have been trained by UPS in the art of packing. Also any claims for damage will be easier to sort out as they are authorized packers for UPS.

UK postal rates are very expensive. For many buyers especially on the continental USA, I have found the best price for carriage can be got from FedEx. Especially if you order a collection from the UK paying your end. I can deliver your item, well packed to Birmingham International Airport FedEx depot. So ask me for dimensions and weight, then telephone your local FedEx outlet. Believe me it will cost you less that two thirds of any quotation I can get in the UK.
