Welcome to my page, and thanks for looking. I live in East Hertfordshire, and I've been an eBay member since 22 January 2004. My feedback score passed 50 on 10 July 2005, which means that buyers using PayPal have Buyer Protection. My feedback score passed 60 on 26 July 2006, so I obviously had a quieter year on eBay! Your first question might be: Why MarvinTheWizard? I actually wanted MerlinTheWizard, but someone in the US has that name, so I chose an alternative name after a certain paranoid android! This may give a clue to my interest in The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy written by the late Douglas Adams. You'll see the film version of Marvin the Paranoid Android walking across the screen on the film web site. As you might guess from HHGTTG, I'm a huge fan of sci-fi including Star Trek and Star Wars. Last year I saw Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith . . I saw the first one (Episode IV) in London in 1977 whilst I was a student!

I'm selling and buying on eBay just as a hobby. I moved a while ago, so I have been reminded that I have loads more stuff than I really have room for. I'm very bad at throwing things away, as I always imagine that there will be someone out there who might be able to use whatever it is. It's a kind of recycling I suppose - I think throwing stuff in the bin is a waste of resources and I would rather see someone using it than it going into a landfill site. My biggest success selling so far has been my 30 year-old badge collection, which generated quite a lot of interest. I also have a lot of computer related stuff, because I am actually a bit of a computer nerd! (See favourite links below.) I keep my postage and packing charges as low as is reasonable. I use recycled packing materials whenever possible, and always pack things well. In the UK I'll use 1st Class or Parcel post, depending on the weight of the item. Bidders from overseas are welcome to contact me for a p&p quote. I do my best to do everything as smoothly and as efficiently as possible. My 100% positive feedback score is very important to me. |

Bob Harris - whispering Bob. The eBay Song - hilarious! Life Advice - a hoax, but still very funny. |
