Thanks for having a look at my page today. I have been a member of Ebay for 8 years. You will find that I am a friendly and honest Ebayer who likes to deal with all transactions swiftly. My feedback is almost 100% from trading with a few hundred people and over 1000 transactions!
"My feedback is built up slowly over the last few years. This is the only way to trust a genuine feedback number. I have also never changed my id and only trade with one account. (unlike a lot on this site!!!) If you need any advice or help just drop me an email and I'd be glad to be of assistance..."
I am heavily into film, with a few thousand DVD's, Laserdiscs and even Vcd's in my collection. I also have genuine autographed pics and one of my prized possesions is the caterpillar that Leonardo Di Caprio swallowed in the Beach, which was originally sold at Christies and also a Jackie Brown DVD that has been signed by Robert De Niro and Quentin Tarantino........
I am always adding to my collection and selling duplicates and unwanted items to keep everything moving. Sometimes I'll import several items to save on postage and simply pass them on at a future date when I run out of space. I am not interested in making millions and you can see that I start all items at a low price, so that you can determine what it is worth by bidding what you feel is fair. You will also note that I charge a reasonable amount for postage to cover genuine package costs. (I do not buy ANY dvds from people that charge £3.00 for postage out of principle, and likewise would not expect people to do it from me) The more expensive the dvd, the better and more expensive the packaging....
Thanks for taking an interest in my auctions...And good luck if you are bidding
DVD REGION CODES EXPLAINED
Most DVDs include codes that can be used to prevent playback of certain discs in certain geographical regions. Each player is given a code for the region in which it's sold. The player will refuse to play discs that are not coded for its region. This means that discs bought in one country may not play on players bought in another country. There are 8 regions. Players and discs are often identified by the region number superimposed on a world globe.
REGION 1 U.S. , Canada and U.S. Territories
REGION 2 United Kingdom, Europe, Japan, South Africa, and Middle East (including Egypt)
REGION 3 Southeast Asia and East Asia (including Hong Kong)
REGION 4 Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Central America, Mexico, South America, and the Caribbean
REGION 5 Eastern Europe (Former Soviet Union), Indian subcontinent, Africa, North Korea, and Mongolia
REGION 6 China
REGION 7 Reserved
REGION 8 Special international venues (airplanes, cruise ships etc)
REGION 0 Region Free. Playable on any system.
DVD DISC FORMATS EXPLAINED In addition to region codes, there are also differences in discs for NTSC and PAL TV systems. All DVD players sold in PAL countries play both kinds of discs. These multi-standard players convert NTSC to PAL . Most NTSC players can't play PAL discs. Most TVs have the ability to convert and play both systems in the UK, but you will still need a multi region, or chipped player. Some players can easily be made multregion just by pressing a few buttons on the remote control...
