I am a retired primary school headteacher who first started to use Ladybird books in the classroom in 1969.My first school promotion was in 1972 when I became responsible for buying books for the school library & bought a lot of L/bird non fiction as they were good,cheap(15p ea) reference books.

In 2001 my granddaughter was born & I have been collecting Ladybird books for her ever since then.I sell surplus books on eBay.I find most of my Ladybirds in charity shops and car boot sales.I have now stopped collecting for my grandaughter and I only look for "rare" Ladybirds and books which are currently in demand eg the original series of Well-loved Tales,606D.

Through eBay I have managed to buy two excellent histories of Ladybird books and now consider myself a minor expert on them! So if you want a bit of free advice on buying or selling Ladybirds do let me know...
