There once was a little old mole who loved collecting things. He collected old things and odd things and this and that and everything else besides. He filled his home with so much stuff he couldn’t move and so he built a shed, and of course before very long he filled that too. Eventually he began to sell some things to other people who also liked to collect things, and pretty soon he found he enjoyed selling things nearly as much as collecting them......

Hello, I’m oldmoley and I’d just like to tell you a bit about myself.
I am a life-long collector of all sorts of stuff and have been selling Antiques & Collectables regularly for the last eight years. I started on eBay two years ago and love it so much I have gone full-time.
I firmly believe that honesty is the best policy, therefore when you do business with me you can expect clear photographs, accurate descriptions, secure packaging, reasonable postage charges, speedy delivery and a fair returns policy. You can bid safely, secure in the knowledge that I trade fairly and always put the customer first (no bull).
Emporium News
After years of working from home, I have finally moved into a New Workshop! It's very big and spacious and should allow me to work much more efficiently. That's the theory anyway!
I have finally started listing some of the many Vintage Prints and Original Paintings that I have accumulated over the years. Restoring old picture frames means that I often buy bulk lots, with great pictures in rotten frames and vice versa. They are all in excellent condition and most will be mounted on board, ready for easy and cheap postage. There will be many more to come over the next few months.
UK courier charges for larger items are now £9.00. Smaller items will be dispatched by Royal Mail First Class Recorded Delivery. I offer a Postage Discount whereby I can send as many purchases in one package as you require, you still only pay postage for the heaviest item.
Just a little note for Overseas Customers. Courier charges have recently hit the roof - most companies have added a fuel charge of up to £30 - this means that the average item going to the USA for example would be in excess of £50. I use the DHL Economy Service - they are very reliable and much cheaper than anyone else. One thing to note; they must have your telephonenumber to pass on to your local depot. If you are interested in any item please email me before you make a purchase and I will be happy to give you a postage quote. Smaller items will be sent via the Post Office Airmail Service which has a weight limit of 2kg and a length limit of 60cm. Valuable items will be sent by Royal Mail International Signed For Delivery (an extra £3.50).
Regarding my Antique Picture Frames. I have lots in store and will be continually adding more every few weeks. Each frame is guaranteed to be in excellent condition and comes complete with glass, backing board, brass wire and fittings. Wherever possible I will include the original glass, fittings and backing boards, this will be mentioned in the listing. However, the original boards are often made of several pieces of fairly rough (and sometimes wormy) pine which contains acid (this is what makes pictures go brown) and old fittings are invariably rusty, broken or missing altogether. If you want the back of your frame to retain a period look, the easiest way is to finish it off with brown Kraft paper, stretched and taped, which hides all the pins and keeps the bugs out.
I appreciate how difficult it can be to find the correct frame for your picture. One option to bear in mind is using a window mount instead of looking for an exact size match. This gives you space around the picture and allows you to crop your image slightly (lose a bit of sky etc) to fit the dimensions of the frame, rather than the other way round. If you cannot see the exact frame you require or need advice please feel free to contact me.
And finally, a few notes about my listing policy. If I put an item into auction it will not have a buy-it-now price and I will never end it early, this is against eBay regulations and is unfair to other potential bidders. Likewise, if it is a buy-it-now in the shop, it has a fixed price which is not negotiable. All of my items are guaranteed to be in excellent condition, ie; fully cleaned & restored and free from faults. I price all of my items as low as it is feasible to do so (bearing in mind I do have to buy them myself in the first place) and once you have added business costs, packing materials, eBay fees, Paypal charges etc etc (not to mention time), I think you will find my prices very competetive within the antiques trade in general and indeed good value for money. Regretably, any requests to end items early or to ask for discounts will be ignored.
