GRADING/CONDITION OF OUR ITEMS
95% of our stock items are in at least excellent condition, and many are mint.
This applies to sleeves as well as records and CDs etc. However we do have a few items which are in lesser condition.
If an item is in less than excellent condition, this will be clearly indicated in the description, eg: EX-/EX, VG/EX etc, where the first grading is for the sleeve/cover and the second is for the record/CD.
We grade all our items using the long established Record Collector magazine system. Here is a guidline:
MINT (M):
The record/CD is in brand new condition with no surface marks or distortion in sound quality. The cover and any extras items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be mint.
EXCELLENT (EX):
The record/CD shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little (if any) lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have very minor wear and/or creasing.
EXCELLENT MINUS (EX-):
The record/CD has been played a few times and will show a little minor wear, but sound quality will still be almost perfect. The cover and packaging might have one or two small but noticeable defects, such as a strong crease or a small mark where a sticker has been removed.
VERY GOOD (VG):
The record/CD has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable.
GOOD (G):
The record has been played so much that the sound quality is noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding., scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
IMPORTANT: Due to the sheer quantity of items we list, we grade everything visually.
However, if there are any noticable marks on a record/CD, we always ensure that it plays properly before listing it.
All our CD's are genuine original items, we NEVER sell bootlegs, counterfeits or home made CDR copies.

PACKAGING
We package all records in special card mailing envelopes with additional strong cardboard liners inside.
We package all CD's in padded envelopes, again with added cardboard liners inside for extra protection.
We always remove records from sleeves when packing to prevent seam splits in transit, and we put all records and sleeves inside brand new plastic covers for added protection.
We normally replace all CD single and album cases with brand new ones, before sending. However this may not be possible if we have sold the CD at a reduced Best Offer price or if the CD was issued with a special case and we are unable to obtain a new case of the same type.
We normally send all items within 24 hours of receipt of payment.

Many of our items are open to Best Offers, but please don't waste our time and yours by making ridiculously low offers. Remember, we are a professional record and CD retail business and we have paid good money for our stock items with the aim of selling them at a profit. As a rule, we will never accept an offer which is less than half the original price of the item.
