SOLD 07/08 Growing up surrounded by lonely tobacco fields of North Carolina my sisters and I found plenty of time on our hands. I filled my time exploring fields, investigating flowers, bugs and even tobacco worms! Many summer days spent laying in the grass and seeing pictures in the clouds, well after all the chores were done! I think I was born an artist but it wasn't until recently that I found polymer clay. In June 2007 I married the man of my dreams and moved to Camano Island, WA. It was shortly thereafter that I began my journey with sculpting dolls. Although I'd known about polymer clay for many years I'd never tried sculpting with it before. I spent 7-8 hours a day teaching myself how to sculpt. It's been a year now and I'm so very happy with how my dolls turn out. I'm still learning, but with the help of some very wonderful women in my online sculpting group I am growing as a doll artist. I hope you agree. I thank God for this talent and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for loving me when I felt unlovable. But by His grace alone am I able to write this today. Hugs! I have recently turned my love for painting portraits of children into sculpting them from polymer clay. My goal is to make someone smile when they look at my dolls.
