Y STABL

The Stable, Tŷ Lôn Cottages, Rhoscolyn, Anglesey. LL65 2NQ

Introduction

Y Stabl

Y Stabl ('The Stable') is a self-catering holiday cottage located in the rural area of Rhoscolyn, Anglesey, North Wales. The cottage is a short walk from Rhoscolyn's beaches, the Silver Bay Holiday Park, and the local pub The White Eagle.

The cottage is fully furnished and has two double bedrooms, one twin room and one single, comfortably sleeping seven people in total. We have two allocated car parking spaces, and guests of Y Stabl have use of the stone outhouse in front of the cottage. Children of all ages are very welcome, and on request we can supply a portable cot and highchair for young children. In addition, for your stay, we provide:

  • Freshly laundered bed linen;
  • Freshly laundered towels for each guest;
  • Freshly laundered bath mat;
  • Welcome pack for first night.

We are registered with Visit Wales to sleep 7 adults, and our current grading following re-assessment in April 2008 is 3-Star. We refurbished and modernised several aspects of the house during 2007.

The Tŷ Lôn cottages were purpose converted in 1991. The original stone building was used to house animals for the Tŷ Lôn farm, and is believed to be several hundred years old. We acquired the cottage in January 2007 to use for our own vacations, and to let out for the remainder of the year. Through our eBay ID ystabl(tony@ystabl.com)( 27Feedback score is 10 to 49) , eBay listings are now being offered for lettings in 2008. We've been a member here since Saturday, 31 Mar, 2007 . This 'About Me' page was set up to keep together details of the cottage and letting Terms & Conditions all in a single place. Check out our eBay feedback to see how our guests enjoyed their stays so far.

We look forward to having you stay at Y Stabl!

  • London- 5 hours drive or by train (direct to Holyhead);
  • Dublin or Dun Laoghaire- 1.5 (fast craft) or 3.5 hours (traditional ferry) crossing to Holyhead.

Electricity Charges

Our old electricity coin meter has been removed for convenience, and in lieu of this we now charge for actual electricity used (based on meter readings), for weekly lettings below the value of £300. Using lots of hot water and leaving the lights on will quickly use up electricity! See our visitor info book for more tips on how to save power at Y Stabl!.

Heating

Heating throughout most of the house is by electric storage heaters. These can be individually isolated at the wall, and the temperatures can be controlled individually via the dial under the flap on top each of the heaters.

No storage heaters are located in the living room and the twin bedroom. These rooms can be heated with the portable oil heater stored in the cupboard under the stairs.

Y Stabl

Laundry

An automatic washing machine is installed in the kitchen. A drying rack can be found in the cupboard in the kitchen. Dry cleaning can be done in the laundrette in Valley on the road from Four Mile Bridge. Service washes can also be done there.

  • At the road junction at Four Mile Bridge (opposite the post office)

We have left copies of the Yellow Pages and Phone Book in the cottage for your reference. Please do not remove them. With no phone line connection in the cottage, there is no internet connection either. The closest internet café is located in Holyhead town centre.

Our wheelie bin is located in the outhouse. Bin collection is on a Monday morning, we request that the bin is taken to the end of the driveway (by the ‘Tŷ Lôn’ sign) on Monday morning.
