In my ebay listings you'll usually find a wide range of toy and model soldiers (both metal and plastic) and, from time to time, film soundtrack, classical, folk music and other assorted CDs. In both instances I'm "culling" my own personal collections which have grown to unmanageable proportions (over 12,000 toy and model soldiers and some 2,000 CDs) so duplicate items are rarely, if ever, available ! Very occasionally I'll also be selling a few books - military history, Politics, Scottish interest, Science fiction and other types - usually when the bookshelves start to bend ! DVDs and videos also sometimes make it to my listings....

TOY AND MODEL SOLDIERS - GENERAL INFORMATION

I have been collecting toy and model soldiers for over 50 years - for an overview of my involvement in the hobby refer to my article "Grumpy Old Soldiers" in Plastic Warrior magazine number 111. I am now at the stage where I am, very gradually, selling off my own collection of over 12,000 metal and plastic figures.

I usually list once or twice a month - but NOT in July or August. You will find most makes and types of metal and plastic figures listed but please note the following:

• Most of my hollowcasts have long gone.......so have many of my Elastolin, Timpo, Airfix and Starlux plastics.
• If I describe an item as "rare" it is in a United Kingdom context.
• Generally speaking, I do not sell currently available figures that are on sale via mail order subscription or those that are just as easily purchased in a major model shop - the vast majority of my items are pre-1987 and many of them are from the 1950's or earlier.
• Most of the items I list are in 54mm scale or thereabouts but I also have several hundred smaller scale wargames figures which will appear on ebay from time to time as well as a few larger scale pieces.
• I am no longer "a dealer" buying and selling on - the vast majority of the items I sell come from my own collection so duplicates will hardly ever be available.

TOY AND MODEL SOLDIERS - MY OWN RANGES

• Also available on ebay from time to time are a few original solidcast metal figures sculpted from my designs by Vince Mattocks.
• "Kearton's Heroes" were originally issued in the mid-1980's and are in 54mm scale. A few re-issues of some of the range are now available - three Alamo figures (Travis, Bowie and Crockett), Gordon of Khartoum and Albrecht von Wallenstein (Imperialist Commander during the 30 Years War).
• "Jacobites" are in 65mm scale and are individually animated - no two are ever the same. (Sorry - these are now SOLD OUT and will not be repeated).
• "Great Scot" figures are in 1:30 scale - John McGregor (the Alamo Piper), James Graham (Earl of Montrose, Royalist ECW commander) and "The Gentle Lochiel" (Cameron of Lochiel, Jacobite commander, 1745)
• "McQuirks" - two/three figure vignettes, also in 1:30 scale. The first of these, "Murder Most Royal", shows Robert the Bruce in unfriendly discussion with John Comyn over the Scottish succession.
• All of the above items are limited editions, available only whilst stocks last.

OTHER EBAY ITEMS

CDs - from time to time, usually Film soundtracks (many rarities to dispose of.......keep watching my listings !) plus Classical, traditional folk and several other types.

Videos and DVDs - eclectic mix of film and television items ..............at irregular intervals.

Books - mainly military history, politics, Scottish interest, Science fiction - again, at irregular intervals.

I am NOT a dealer. Most of the items I sell are from my own collections - thus, duplicates are rarely available.
