About Us
Abbeymere Water Gardens is a family run nursery which has been supplying the trade for over 50 years. In our move to include ebay sales we have taken with us our dedication to superior customer service and satisfaction.

Should you require to speak to a member of our team in person we will be happy to provide a direct number on request where we will be available at all times. Plant Health and Disease
We are comitted to only sending out the healthiest of plants to ensure that they will flourish in their final location. All of our plants are grown in controlled pools free of fish and disease to ensure no contamination occurs. Should you be worried about contamination it is recommended to soak your pants in concentrated salt water for 15 minutes to sterilise prior to introduction into your pool.
Postage and Packaging
Our items are sent out the next postal day after payment is received. We only post items Monday to Thursday due to the nature of the products. All of our products are very well packaged to ensure their survival in transit and will be fine for up to seven days in the post should there be delays with the postal service. On the very rare occasion that a product should arrive damaged, or be lost in the post, we will arrange re-delivery at the first opportunity once informed.
Please remember our postal charges are for postage, packaging and handling. Preperation of our products immediately prior to postage is done for your benefit to ensure you receive the best quality products possible, and although time consuming and costly for us is well worthwhile.

Planting Guide
For basket planting we recommend a 50/50 mix of grow bag soil and top soil with a layer of pea gravel covering the surface. Optionally a hessian bag can be used to line the basket to prevent leaching of the soil into the water.
Marginals
The plants will be sent bare rooted to save you on postage costs so will need to be potted at 1.5l per plant, or alternatively planted directly into the soil in your pond. You should keep most of the foliage above the water level and not place in a depth of more than 20cm.
Water Lilies
The plants will be sent bare rooted to save you on postage costs so will need to be potted at at least 2.5l per plant in a suitable basket. The corme, the main body of the lily needs to be planted in a heavy, loamy soil leaving the crown of the lily exposed. The basket should then be submerged at the desired location in a depth of up to 90cm. The leaves and flowers will then grow to settle on the surface of the pond.
Oxygenators
Oxygenators will be supplied in leaded bunches which require no planting, just let them sink to the bottom in the desired location. To prevent the spread of these throughout the pool they can be planted in baskets, spaced out at reguar intervals.
Floating Plants
These plants require no planting, simply float them on your pond.
