UP FOR AUCTION: AUNT BESSIE’S OFFERS YOUR FAVOURITE CELEBS ON FAMOUS FAMILY PLATES
Welcome to the Aunt Bessie’s and Age Concern auction of celebrity designed dinner plates and platters auctioned here in support of The Great Sunday Lunch to raise money for Age Concern.
This year the following celebrities have generously donated their time and artistic skill to support the campaign and help raise funds for this good cause: Sir David Jason, Penny Lancaster, Ainsley Harriott, Marguerite Patten, Brian Turner, Dave Spikey, Debbie McGee, Escala and Lesley Waters.
Aunt Bessie’s and Age Concern are encouraging friends and family across the country to get together for a fun-filled lunch on (or around) Sunday 19th October to take part in The Great Sunday Lunch fundraising campaign and host a roast of their own. The event will help to captivate our nation of Sunday lunch lovers and help to raise vital funds for thousands of older people, for whom Sunday lunch can be a lonely and difficult time.
To be in with a chance of securing one of these fantastic collectors’ items, all you need to do is place a bid and you could soon be serving your own Great Sunday Lunch from one of these special items.
Aunt Bessie’s already helps serve up a traditional roast with a selection of ‘home cooked’ products including Aunt Bessie’s Original Yorkshire Puddings, Aunt Bessie’s Bramley Apple Pie and Aunt Bessie’s Dairy Custard and hopes to bring families and friends together through The Great Sunday Lunch campaign, this October, to raise the profile and importance of dining together while raising money for older people.
Denby have kindly supplied all plates used in the campaign and if you have been inspired by our creative celebrities, you too can personalise some plates of your own at the Denby Visitor Centre in Derbyshire www.denby.co.uk
