I first began to buy Old Tribal and Village Rugs in 1978 when, as a feature journalist focussing on Travel in less visited regions of the world, I made regular trips to remote areas in India, Pakistan, mountain border regions of Afghanistan and the Eastern border regions of Turkey.

After ten years of searching in these source areas it became obvious that better rugs at lower prices could be found in the Antique Shops and markets of Europe and the UK where, at that time, most dealers sold rugs by the size and had no idea what type of rugs they had.

Now-a-days we scour the rural markets, estate sales, auctions and village fetes of Europe to find our rugs and collect them over a three month period before importing them into Australia.

I stand by my descriptions which are GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC and have written a book on the subject which was professionally published in Australia in 1991 as evidence of my knowledge.
