Now let's get down to businessPostage: Most of my items are by Recorded or Special Delivery depending on the value of the items. Sometimes I will agree to ordinary post but if so this is on the understanding that I am in no way responsible for non-delivery or theft from people within Royal Mail or elsewhere.
Returns: I will only accept returns if the item is not as I described it. With electrical and mechanical items where I have said they are in working order and you say they arrived not working, I will accept returns but only if the AlphaSpot (a security device the size of a pin point) is still where I hid it. Alas I have to do this as someone once tried to say that an item I know was working arrived faulty and, when they returned it, I was certain it was not the item I sent in the first instance! One lives and learns. Returns have to be made within seven days at your expense.
If you are buying from me, I will use PayPal's tracking page (within their packing slip section) to have an e-mail sent to you when I have received your payment. This e-mail from PayPal will have the tracking number and the mode (i.e. Recorded or Special Delivery etc). I will have the system send you another as soon as I have posted it.
Feedback: My policy when selling is to give feedback immediately I receive payment. When buying I expect you to give me feedback when I pay, and I will give you feedback within 24 hours of receipt of goods. If you refuse to do this and insist on receiving feedback first, that's fine, I will leave you feedback when I have spent 60 days living with the goods. This way I can use this as an excuse to thoroughly test the purchase. It is up to you to decide what is best for you.
Although I don't take part in the practice, there are those who list eBay names of people who don't give feedback in an Internet forum. Which is why I leave feedback immediately on receipt of payment! :-)
When I am buying, I will pay via PayPal as soon as I receive notification in my e-mail in tray. I would hope this might result in instant feedback but do realise that not everyone wants to play by my rules :-) I would hope the seller might e-mail me at the time of despatch but, once again, not everyone is as efficient as me - but I do live in hope! I will e-mail the seller as soon as I receive the item. I will also leave feedback either at that time or, if the goods need to be checked, later. If the goods need to be checked, I will do all possible checking within twenty-four hours.
I look forward to doing business with you and hope I haven't scared you off with too may "rules" but they aren't cast in stone.
