Seeing is believing, In 2005 we owned a small Antique Centre Nr Towcester, Northamptonshire. Where we were visited by an Angel. It was a clear day without any clouds in the sky, suddenly we looked above our shop and saw this whispy cloud in the shape of an Angel. It was directly above the shop. The Story so Far..Well the Credit-Crunch continues, and so do we, i am joining the long queue of independant dealers trying to ride this wave, where it comes to rest nobody knows. I no longer have my large collection of Victorian Mary Gregory Glass, as pieces have had to be sold to manage through these bad times. My collection of other Antiques and collectables has also started to depleat, as things get more expensive, interest rates go through the floor and food costs rocket. Where will it end.
My customers have stuck by me to a certain degree, although sales have dropped by nearly half, some of my customers have stayed loyal to us, and for that we can only thank them.
We still have a small collection of beautiful pieces of Cranberry and Vaseline glass, Decanters and Drinking Vessels.
I now trade from the upstairs gallery of The Antique Centre at Olney in Buckinghamshire. I have a selection of cabinets filled with a wonderful and tempting selection of Mary Gregory Glass, Decanters Decorative Glass and Drinking Vessels. I have a good collection of Porcelain including a small selection of Sporting Memorabilia. I also stock a good collection of Silverware and a nice selection of Vintage & Contemporary Jewellery.
