Who Are We?
Clearance Bargains is a trading name, and the official
clearance operation, for Argos Ltd.
The Clearance Bargains operation is fully owned and
managed by Argos, but as the shopping experience and product availability is very
different from our parent stores, we trade under the Clearance Bargains brand in order to
minimise confusion. Under the Clearance Bargains brand we operate our eBay Shop and
three large clearance outlets in Corby, Walsall and Stanley with a combined selling space
of over 90,000 sq ft. Clearance Bargains is operated separately from Argos. Our Argos
Stores, Customer Service Helplines and Head Office are unable to deal with any Clearance

What Do We Sell?
We sell a selected range of Argos products that were featured in previous editions of the
Argos Catalogue.
We sell two distinct categories of goods:
New Products:
This is all BRAND NEW stock supplied by Argos. New
products are complete with all standard manufacturers parts and accessories, in original
packaging, and all supported by the Argos 12 month warranty.Please note that in some
instances this stock may have been subject to previous distribution to stores within our
network and subsequent recall to centralised distribution. A small percentage of
packaging may show some signs of transit with the occasional box having been opened.
Refurbished Products:
Selected products within our consumer electronics &
photography ranges may be classed as ‘refurbished’. Every
refurbished item on sale will have this clearly indicated in the title, subtitle or
listing. All refurbished products are also supported by the same Argos 12 month
warranty. For further information, please see our Refurbished
section. Our range of goods on eBay will vary from day to day, so if you don’t want
to miss some amazing deals make us one of your favourites and visit our eBay shop on a
regular basis.
Consumers and Traders All our products are sold for domestic use for
individual consumers in the UK and Northern Ireland. We choose to limit our product
offering to consumers to a maximum of 10 items in any 10 days (excluding mobile phones).
We do however recognise that some of our products provide an opportunity for people to
purchase as trade. All items purchsed on our trade listings, or were buyers have
purchased more than 5 of the same type of item over any 90 day period, will be classed as
trade purchases. All trade purchases are excluded from any stated or implied guarantee
and can not be returned to us under any circumstances.

Prices and Payment
- All our prices are fully inclusive of VAT at the
current rate.
Our VAT number is GB 145 899 025 and VAT invoices are provided. - For
your own peace of mind, and for Buyer
Protection, we ONLY accept payment via Paypal. We do not accept cash, cheque, debit
or credit cards, postal orders, bank transfer or any other payment method.
- Immediate
payment is required on all Buy It Now purchases. Auction purchases must be paid for in
full within 5 days of the auction ending.
- A payment confirmation will be sent once we
have received cleared funds.
- Our delivery charges are per item and are clearly stated
on all listings.
- Only eBay users registered in the UK are eligible to buy.
- All
orders are subject to stock availability at the time of shipping.
- We reserve the right
to vary our prices and charges. The total you pay is the total listed price at the time
of order.

Shipping IMPORTANT
NOTE: We will now deliver to the address on your eBay account at the time of order.
Please ensure this address reflects your choice of delivery location. We are unable to
change delivery address details once you have paid for your order. Please ensure you have
an up to date daytime telephone number on you account should we need to contact
you. All of our orders are shipped via DHL Courier or Royal Mail 1st Class, except for
our 2-man Home Delivery items. Our larger Home Delivery items are delivered directly by
Argos to a limited postcode area. Please ensure your postcode area is included on the
listing prior to making your purchase. YOU MUST HAVE A PHONE NUMBER ON YOUR ACCOUNT TO
PURCHASE ITEMS ON OUR 2-MAN HOME DELIVERY SERVICE. You can track the progress of your
courier delivery by entering your order number here.
You can contact DHL on 0844 248 0555. You will need your
DHL
reference number shown on the tracking page from the above link. General Terms:
- All items are despatched within 2 working days* from receipt of cleared payment -
with most items shipping the next working day.
- Courier items are shipped on a NEXT
WORKING DAY* service.
- Deliveries take place Monday to Friday 07.00 to 21.00 and must
be SIGNED FOR.
- Failed delivery attempts will be carded, and shown on the courier
tracking page.

re-delivery or collection. - Failed deliveries returned to us will be refunded within 7
days less any charges for delivery.
- You will receive a despatch
notification when your order ships and full tracking information will be provided for
courier deliveries.
- We are unable to offer any combined shipping discounts.
- All
delivery charges are to MAINLAND UK AND NORTHERN IRELAND ONLY addresses. We regret
that we cannot deliver to the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Orkney, Shetland and Scottish
Islands, BFPO addresses, P.O Box addresses or the Republic of Ireland.
- We do not offer
a collection
service from our eBay operation, our Argos Stores or our Clearance Bargains outlets.
*Working days are Monday to Friday and exclude weekends
and public bank holidays.

Returns We're
committed to selling high-quality products we hope you'll enjoy using, but we also know
that, for one reason or another, there may be a time when you need to exchange or return
something you've bought.
PLEASE NOTE: ITEMS PURCHASED AT CLEARANCE BARGAINS
CANNOT BE RETURNED TO AN ARGOS STORE. IF YOUR ORDER WAS DELIVERED BY OUR ARGOS 2 MAN
SERVICE OR WAS FOR A PC OR LAPTOP PLEASE CONTACT US. Unwanted
Purchases/Your Right to Cancel
- You must notify us of your
intent to cancel within 7 days of the date of delivery to your address.
- Please use the
Returns Resolution
Centre on eBay to request a refund.
- Returned items
must be in their original and unused condition, complete with all parts, accessories,
original packaging and the original invoice.
- A full refund of the order total will be
processed.
- The Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and insurance.
- Sorry,
but audio/video recordings or software that you have unsealed are excluded from this
policy.
Faulty products
- Please use the Returns Resolution
Centre on eBay to notify us that your item has developed a fault.
- In the event of
a fault
developing within 35 days of purchase, a full refund will be issued
after receipt of the returned item and verification of the fault.
- Should an item
become faulty after 35 days of purchase but within the stated warranty period, we will,
at our discretion, offer a repair or a full or partial cost of item refund, after receipt
of the returned item and verification of the fault.
- If the item is not found to have a
manufacturing fault, or the fault is due to customer misuse, then no refund will be
issued, and the buyer will be responsible for any fees for return shipping.
- Should you
wish for a replacement item, we recommend that you purchase this from our Shop under a
separate transaction.
Incorrect
Orders/Substitutes
- In the unlikely event of receiving an incorrect order or a
substituted item, please accept our apologies.
- Please use the Returns Resolution
Centre on eBay to request a refund.
- Please return the item in its original
condition, and upon
receipt we will process a full
refund.
- We recommend that you re-purchase your item from our Shop under a separate
transaction.
- Please enclose the return postage costs which will be
refunded.
General
Terms:
- A Returns Label is included on your invoice for your convenience.
- If
the return is for faulty or damaged goods, please enclose the return postage costs which
will be refunded once the reported fault is confirmed.
- For all returns, please include
a reason for return or the nature of any fault(s), your order number, email address,
phone number and
your eBay user name.
- Please allow up to 7 working days to test and process all
returns, and up to 21 working days for completion of any repairs.

Refurbished
Products
Refurbished products are all 100% OK! In fact, they
represent amazing value for money, especially as we offer all our refurbished products
with a full ONE YEAR warranty.
These products may be classed as refurbished for a number
of reasons:
- They may have been previously sold, and
subsequently returned to one of our parent stores and not put back on sale for cosmetic
packaging reasons. This is often as little as a broken seal.
- Alternatively, they may
simply have incurred a minor amount of cosmetic packaging damage during handling in the
day to day running of our business.
- Some items may also have been returned to our
parentstores with a reported fault or where a customer had difficulty in using.
All of these products are returned to our certified
testing facilities, examined and fully tested. Only products classified by our
professional inspection and testing process as "A1 Condition", fully tested, working, and
complete are then made available for sale through Clearance Bargains. Any products that
don’t meet these high standards are never sold through our eBay shop or retail stores.
All of our refurbished products are sold in there original manufacturers packaging unless
stated on the listing.
The fact that we guarantee the products for a full year
means that you can purchase with full peace of mind.
REMEMBER: WE CLEARLY STATE IN EVERY TITLE, SUBTITLE OR
LISTING IF A SPECIFIC PRODUCT IS REFURBISHED. IF IT DOESN’T SAY REFURBISHED THEN IT’S
ALWAYS BRAND NEW!

Mobile Phones
We want as many people as possible to benefit from our
great products and prices.
We're happy to sell mobile phones to private individuals
only, for their own personal use, subject to our restrictions below.
We are not interested in supplying mobile phones to other
sellers or traders for resale through eBay or elsewhere.
For these reasons, we will restrict the purchasing of
mobile phones to a maximum of 1 handsets per buyer or per delivery postcode in any 30 day
period.
Buyers who purchase more than this will have their full
order cancelled, and all monies refunded within 28 days. Restrictions will also be placed
on their accounts and any future purchases will be cancelled.
Please note, all our mobiles are non-contract
pay-as-you-go, are BRAND NEW, complete with SIM and charger. Due to the nature of our
Quality Control, some original manufacturer seals may be broken. In these instances an
Argos Quality Control seal will be used giving details of any such inspection.
All our mobiles are sold for use on the listed network
only, and are assumed locked. Sorry - but we can not advise on the use of our phones on
any other network other than the one listed. We are also unable to provide any
information regarding unlocking our phones.
