Customer Services:
*Please note that jewellery stocks are not kept at the correspondence,
order and payment addresses.
We are based within the UK and have been a part of eBay UK for several
years, diversifying our product range and striving to provide good quality
merchandise at a price you can afford - along with a friendly, approachable
and efficient service. We would rather bend over backwards to to make
our customers happy than receive negative feedback and we encourage anyone
who has any concerns over their purchase to contact us in the first instance.
Our return policy is as follows:
Returns: We do want you to be 100% satisfied with your
purchase and if you feel your jewellery has not been accurately described
then please contact us within 7 working days from receipt of the item
for a full refund, provided the jewellery has not been altered or tampered
with in any way.
If you are simply not happy with your choice we may be willing to exchange
the piece for items of the same value but not of a lesser value. Unfortunately,
shipping is not refundable.
Postage & Package:
We have noticed that people are not always happy paying the high postage
fees that Royal Mail demand for insured shipment of jewellery. Unfortunately,
Royal Mail will only insure fine jewellery via Special
Delivery, which is around £4.80 upwards. We understand
that our customers do not always want to stretch to this extra expense
so we have reduced our postage fees and now allow customers the option
to purchase insurance, or the postage type of their choice, this is available
on the invoice through paypal. When uninsured postage is used, this unfortunately
means that items that are sent without insurance are at the customers
own risk and we cannot be held responsible for lost items in transit.
We do, however, always obtain proof of postage and will assist customers
to the best of our ability should the worst happen.
Combined Postage: Each additional item purchased is
charged at £0.75
*Customers are responsible
for all import duties and taxes that may be required of them
Packaging: Unless otherwise stated, our items are all
presented to you in a new black velvet pouch or new black velvet ring
box. Boxes shown in pictures are usually for display purposes only |

Modern hallmarks: |
Gold Purity:
A hallmark is a small stamp on Gold, Silver or Platinum
which means the article has been independently tested and is guaranteed
to contain the stated quantities of purity/fineness. For example, gold
is divided into 24 parts, each part is called a carat, 24 carat
gold is pure gold, however, pure gold is too soft to be used in jewellery
making so other complimentary metals are added to give the metal strength.
So then the article is hallmarked as to how much gold it contains, 22
carat gold has 22 parts of pure gold and two parts of other metals. 18
carat gold has 18 parts of pure gold and 6 parts of other metals and so
on. Hallmarks now are more often stamped as Millesimal fineness marks,
common to UK precious metals. This is the number of parts per thousand
of pure precious metal in the alloy. The current fineness allowed in the
UK are shown here.

Common
Control Marks also used for gold, silver, and platinum, regulated by the
European Union.

Assay Offices in the UK:
The
assay office marks - from left to right, the leopard's head of London,
the anchor of Birmingham, the Yorkshire rose of Sheffield, and the castle
of Edinburgh.
The Hallmarking Act 1973 made Britain a member of the Vienna Convention
as well as introducing marking for platinum, a recognized metal under
the Convention. Previous to this time, UK Assay offices had used independent
marks to state the date the item was stamped, after the 1973 act, all
four remaining assay offices finally adopted the same date letter sequences.
The latest changes in 1999 were made to the UK hallmarking system to bring
the system closer into line with the European Union (EU).
As it now stands, the compulsory part of the UK hallmark consists of
the sponsor or maker's mark, the assay office mark, and the standard of
fineness (Silver below)
Examples
of British hallmarks for 925 silver. These are shown
in the top of the two example hallmarks. The bottom example shows the
extra marks that can also be struck, the lion passant, indicating Sterling
silver, the date mark (lowercase a for '2000'), and in this example, the
'Millennium mark', which was only available for the years 1999 and 2000.
The bottom example bears the Yorkshire rose mark for the Sheffield Assay
Office.[6] |

Ring Size Guide:
In many cases a ring can be altered at a competent jewellers for a modest
fee, the things to note are; Does the ring shank have enough bulk to be
made larger? When a ring has stones set around the full circumference
of the ring, re-sizing will not be possible, there must be enough plane
metal shank to allow the ring to be altered.
If you are unsure of your ring size the you can use our chart which is
based on the ring size to the nearest .5 mm. Because there are differing
systems to calculate ring sizes, we cannot claim this to be 100% accurate
but is based on thorough research and the most accurate results we could
find.
How to determine your ring size;
Wrap a piece of string or a strip of paper around your finger.
Mark the point where the two ends meet.
Measure the string or paper against a ruler to get the circumference of
your finger.
Divide that by 3.14 to get the diameter of your finger.
Look up your ring size using the table below (you can consider the size
you got the 'inside circumference/diameter') |
