BHG Marine named Retailer of the Year

Hampshire, UK-based BHG Marine has been named Retailer of the Year at the Boating Business Exhibition (BBEx) in Bournemouth, UK.

The specialist retailer was presented with the annual BBEx MTA award at a drinks reception on February 22.

The award seeks to highlight the retail outlet that has made the most progress over the past year in areas such as customer service, business efficiency, or outright sales increase.

Paul Martin is the third generation of his family to run BHG Marine, and said of the accolade: "It is a great honour to be recognised with this award. At BHG we pride ourselves on taking a modern approach, to make the buying process as simple and enjoyable as possible."

"Our new premises in Lymington, which opened in 2004, sells from stock, meaning that our customers can see everything that we offer. The 'Retailer of the Year' award is much appreciated as recognition that our approach is working," he added.

BHG Marine is the largest, non-corporate Avon outlet in the world, and one of the largest Yamaha Marine dealers in Europe. The dealership permanently displays a vast array of inflatables, RIBs and trailerable boats.
