Breast Buddies was the creation of Laura, Mum to 2 year old Madison-Ceri and Newborn Mischa Ann who had a vision back in 2006 of producing a Nursing Necklace which was durable, reliable, practical, safe and great value for money which also used a safety clasp .......As the Original creator of the Date Of Birth Nursing Necklace Breast-Buddies aims for its pieces to not only aid Breastfeeding mums but to make a treasured addition to your baby keep sake box.
Laura says '...Whilst breastfeeding my daughter I repeatedly wanted to throw in the towel, give up and reach for the bottle, luckily for me my Mum didn't give up. With her helpful advance, patience and perseverance I got through those first few days and you know what, it's the best thing I ever did! Once my milk "came in" it was sooo easy not to mention amazing. Aswell as filling my baby with all the essential vitamins and minerals she needs for healthy growth and development it is a magical time. Nothing will bring you closer to your child, when Madi's big blue eyes looked up at me my heart melted, she was so happy getting delicious mummy milk and my full attention! Breastfeeding is not only physically beneficial to your child it's a spiritual and bonding time for you and your little one, something only you can do for your baby...'
With Breast-Buddies™ our main aim is to promote Breastfeeding. We need to start asking why new mums are not always choosing to breastfeed. All I can see are the positives, breast milk is filled with vitamins essential for your babies growth, its always ready at the right temperature, with no need to sterilise or rush out to the shops to buy more and it’s free! What more could you ask for!"
Laura began Breast-Buddies™ as a hobby initially selling items in local hospitals and clinics, a way to keep herself busy while her little one slept (Rarely!), as she was a stay at home mum. She found herself suddenly at home focusing on smelly nappies and baby playtime and needed something to focus on to help keep herself sane! Laura says that '...Breastfeeding is now a passion of mine, anyway I can promote and educate will only help other mums who may not be as lucky as I was with my large support network. Since my daughters birth I have got involved in local groups and have studied towards a qualification as a breastfeeding supporter with La Leche...'
