Considering the amount of cars that we have through our hands and the fact that it is two man operation, it proves very difficult at times to check every single functioning switch on a vehicle, particuarly as the modern day car relies more and more on computer wizardry. So for example it is difficult for us to fully test whether traction control works without driving it like a hooligan, if a car has electric seats this will always be checked, equally all the windows, mirrors, roof if applicable, we will always state if there are warning lights on or we are aware of anything that is not working, HOWEVER without the correct conditions it will be difficult to fully check air conditioning given the climate in Scotland, in most cases the air con will work or require a  recharge which is inexpensive. This also applying to cruise control, as is this is usually used on a motorway and is difficult to check  in City traffic, again cruise control systems are typically very reliable and tend to work.
