NATURAL SEA SPONGES UNLIKE SYNTHETICS

Lia and George, we are two very different and at the same time very complementary persons. We met two years ago and have become business partners since then.

Lia has lived and studied for the last two years in Cambridge (England) and George lives and works in Athens (Greece).

A little about myself, Lia.  I am an IT person with special interest and skills in Internet applications and training. I have been working with the Internet for the last 12 years in Greece holding Secretarial and Personal Assistant Positions.

My hobbies include reading, hiking, mountaineering, cycling, house decorating and traditional healthy cooking. My likes are flowers and love cats, dogs and pets. I collect rare books and maps, fossils, seashells/conch, but my favorites of all are the natural sea sponges in different shapes, sizes and colours.

When I moved to Cambridge for studies, I became enthusiastic with e-Bay and it's vast and profitable uses. I immediately realized that e-Bay was the opportunity I was looking for a long time to apply my computer skills and to meet and transact with millions of people all over the world. Also I see e-Bay as my opportunity to be able to support myself financially without to have to work at certain places, at certain time schedules, following other peoples orders and doing things other people wanted me to do.

For all these reasons I took as many classes as I could find in Cambridge and read (almost) every e-Bay book I could get hold of! Last May we opened our first seller's account and we have thus joined officially the e-Bay community.  

My role in our e-Bay business is to organize everything about our site, shop, listings, posting, etc, and to communicate as much as possible with our customers. I also choose the items to list according to my experience of what our clients want and are happy to acquire. Last but not least I deal with the business money (as every clever woman must do these days in our 'male-governed' world!!). I am single and have never been married (thank God and the men who refused me!!)  

A little about myself, George. I am a Medical Doctor who studied Medicine in Athens University and specialized in Social Psychiatry in Cambridge. I also trained in Personal Growth and Development Methods with applications in businesses. I am working in Greece as a free lance Personnel and Business Consultant and manage to visit England several times a year as I am in love with Cambridge since I studied and worked here for ten years (1973-1983).

My hobbies include reading, traveling, cycling, swimming and playing football. I also collect rare books, magazines and maps and love the sea life 'products' like sea sponges, sea shells, conches, etc, as they revive in me my childhood activities in my home sea-front town. I have a lovable son, Alexandros, who is 14 years old. I plan to reside permanently in Cambridge when Alexandros comes to England to study in four years time.

I decided to join Lia to her e-Bay business because I am a  computers fun and admire their practical and profitable applications.

My role in our e-Bay Endeavour is to search and find in Greece top quality genuine natural products   to keep up our inventory securing thus that our customers are offered the 'best of the best' items!!

The main reasons that brought us both together to join e-Bay are:

1.Our shared interest and love to promote and sell the Original and    Genuine Natural Products of our beautiful country.

2.Our common dream to make them available, through e-Bay, to everyone everywhere on our planet

3.Our strong need to combine our work with our hobbies and the freedom to work at our own 'pace and rhythm'
