About this campaign
Now in its fourth year, the biannual campaign is supported by celebrities and shoppers across the country. In 2008, it raised £3.2million worth of donations for ground-breaking research and this year aims to raise even more.
Give Up Clothes for Good is the UK’s largest ever clothes collection. From 5th – 25th April, TK Maxx, HomeSense and Cancer Research UK are joining forces to ask the nation to donate their unwanted quality clothes and homewares to help beat childhood cancers.
Special donation bags will be available free in TK Maxx and HomeSense stores from late March but if you haven’t got one, don’t worry! Any bag will do, from bin bags to supersize carrier bags – it’s what’s inside the bag that matters.
So strip your wardrobes as bare as you dare, fill up any bag and drop it off in your nearest TK Maxx or HomeSense store. Each bag could be worth up to £30 for Cancer Research UK. For more details on how you can support the campaign, visit www.tkmaxx.com/clothes.

About Cancer Research UK
Cancer Research UK is the world's leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. We have discovered new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer that together have saved millions of lives across the world. Our vision is that together we will beat cancer.
Our groundbreaking work is funded entirely by the public, and we work in partnership with others to achieve the greatest impact in the global fight against cancer. We provide life-changing information to anyone affected by cancer, and help people reduce their risk of the disease by running healthy lifestyle and early detection awareness initiatives.
We are the largest single funder of research into children's cancer in the UK and our work is at the heart of huge progress in survival rates. Since the 1960's, these rates have doubled, and now 3 in every 4 children diagnosed are now able to beat cancer and look forward to a much brighter future.
But cancer still affects around 1,500 children a year in the UK and claims around 300 lives. So there is more research to be done and more lives to save.
