 I make lampwork glass beads in my little studio in Norfolk using mainly Italian glass.  The rods are heated in a VERY hot flame and the molten glass is wound onto a mandrel.  Various design elements are added with different colours and the final bead is rounded up or shaped in a bead press and placed into a hot kiln to anneal.
