Hi Friends & welcome to my little corner on eBay; you can just call me Country Rose. Having a serendipitous mind; I believe one has the ability to find a little serendipity just about anywhere. I believe there are treasures and happiness to be found in the most unlikely places,unexpected times,and circumstances. I have found much serendipity here on eBay meeting so many wonderful people and making new friends.

I am married to my best friend in the whole world. He is the one true love of my life. With God's never ending grace, we will have a world full of happiness together as we walk through this world hand in hand & heart in heart. My "Blue Eyes" is my inspiration, my world, & my everything. He taught me to love, to dream, to hope beyond hope, to believe & trust in God for with Him all things are possible. We have 4 children ,all married, 10 grandchildren. They are all very dear to us & truely are gifts sent from Heaven. These "little darlin's" amaze us and give joy unmeasurable...actually some are bigger than us ... they are all really amazing. :)

I paint and sew to help do my part of "making do" & simply so I can buy more "stuff". I just simply love primitive things...most of my offerings are primitive. I enjoy the handi-work created by others & it seems so seldom an artist can make something for themself to keep. Sometimes you will see "Just make do Honey" on my auctions.This comes from: One day my husband & I were talking about life and the way things are going today and my husband said "Well, we'll just have to make do,Honey". So here I am just simply & primitively making do and getting by with my make dos. I'm not a great painter or stitcher but have so much fun with my own primitive folk art style. Sometimes my work will have a retro or shabby cottage twist. I sew things I like and offer those I think others may enjoy.
My mother and grandmother were always making something & growing something. They taught me how to love people in the world and get by with God's watchful eyes.



Having four children one learns to improvise and be resourceful. So it was a good thing that we fell in love with primitives back when our children were small. Primitives are great to own with children; they can only give them more patina and CHARM. I have always loved flower gardening. So I combined these two favorite things and came up with a primitive shabby country cottage style with a touch of early simple colonial & farmhouse. Not always being able to afford expensive antiques my husband made me just what I wanted;just the way I wanted...keeping with the olde ways of making needful or just plain ol' wantful things.

I hopefully will be able to offer more of my husbands work here on ebay. He is a wonderful folk artist & really does create amazing primitive items that would fit in any home. Hopeing & praying he will get his desire & inspiration back real soon...doing as he teaches others...dream, hope aginst hope, & love what you do.

I love creating old stitchery items so you will usually find a pinkeep, make do, an early simple style sawdust pillow, candlekeep or other needful thing for your home...all are handmade from the heart with much love & care. Our offerings here are usually vintage,old,antique,handmade,or just plain ol' used but most times ...Primitive, Farmhouse, Country, Cottage, Early Settler, Prairie, Plain Folk, Homestead style & sometimes offering a bit of Retro or Shabby, Granny Chic items since I have a lot of fond memorises of this era.
Although a collector of many things, I am an expert on none. We all have our own ideas and levels of perfection. I will always describe my offerings to the best of my knowledge. I am an honest, simple, hard working person & will go out of my way to make all ebay transactions go as smoothly as I can. Please just let me know if a problem should arise.

WOW !!! Might have been a few years back Darlin' :) ...but let me tell ya Honey you ain't bad at all today ... Still love that "walk"!

I fell in love with this man before I even knew his name...One glance & there went my heart...God told my heart he's the one & only...it was mutual on our 1st date...I got into trouble for coming in so late...he did too...but we had the best time just talking, walking in the park & looking at the stars. Never got dinner...isn't that where we were suppose to go, Honey?



Our Wedding Day...Please don't laugh :)...It was almost 36 yrs. ago!...Always believeing for many more precious years together..hand in hand & heart in heart.
