Crusader Sports


Since it’s inception in 1986 Crusader Sport has become the byword in the sports industry for quality products at the right price, delivered on time. The company was founded by it’s owners David and Beverley Cooper in their home and has gone through various stages of growth and expansion to the present day where we now find ourselves in our purpose built factory unit in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside. In the beginning the company dealt mainly with independent sports retailers, supplying our own branded cricket equipment and clothing range. As the independent retail market slowly dwindled the company re-located it’s brand into the areas of educational supply and also focused more on the individual and team use of our product. Priding themselves on their watchwords of quality, price and delivery the company now services over 500 accounts within these areas and have now added to their own brand a number of other quality products from other top suppliers enabling Crusader Sports to supply into any sporting market place.

David Cooper the company’s managing director has worked in the sports industry for over 30 years. Originally working for Duncan Fearnley as sales director in their heydays of the late 70’s and early 80’s. David’s dream was to start a company that could not only supply the cricket market but also a company that could supply every facet of the sports industry. Crusader Sports is now realising that dream for him! Beverley Cooper is the finance director of the company and deals with all the areas surrounding this field. After working with the company since the beginning she also has a wealth of knowledge in all areas of the company and enjoys taking time out from slaving over the books to help customers find the right product for them! Duncan Cooper is David and Bev’s son. He has worked in the sports retail industry since 1995 and as the only member of the team young enough to still be actively involved in sport his knowledge is invaluable to the company. Duncan is involved in several cricket clubs across the country and also has detailed knowledge in a range of other sports. Christine Holtom is involved with Bev in the accounts department but also brings to the table a great deal of experience. She is the chairwoman to the Worcestershire Women’s cricket development group and is actively involved in women’s cricket throughout the county. “We pride ourselves on our level of service and delivery, and feel sure that our family atmosphere will offer a fast friendly and efficient service”. David Cooper Managing Director Crusader are looking forward to a number of exciting projects in the future and hope that the next 20 years bring as much success and happiness to the company as the last 20 have.
