We are a young family of four. My self, my wife and our two small children (Natalia and Wictoria) run this guest house that is located in a mountain village almost on the Slovakian boarder in southern Poland. We moved here about 5 years ago and started to convert the traditional polish guest house so that all the rooms are now double rooms and have en-suites. Running this business based manly on English tourists and offering airport transfer as well as the unique opportunity this is to see polish culture in this way has made this small business a success for us. We have had great joy in seeing many of our guest coming back time and time again to stay with us.
We try to offer an intimate and personalized holiday for people. Your stay with us will be in our private home where we will try to let you experience some of the local culture and food. All of our meals are cooked in house by us and are all based on local traditional polish recipes. We will try our very best to give you information on the local attractions as well as help organize trip, outings and car hire for you if needed. We will give you information that will help you find your way around the public transport system. Including the use of our maps and local knowledge. The house
Our house has four floors with 100m2 on each floor. The basement is mainly used for storage, but has a large kitchen and boiler room for heating in the winter as well as hot water in the summer. On the first floor we have our main kitchen and dining room as well as two rooms that are occupied by my wife’s parents. The 2nd floor in the house is dedicated to our guests and consists of four double rooms. (One room has an extra fold down single be in it). You will find that all our rooms are spacious with full size double beds and en-site. All the rooms have radio’s as well as tea/coffee making facilities. We live on the top floor of the house with the best viewJ.
There is a dial up line phone line available in the dining room for those of you that can not make it for a week without the use of the internetJ. Polish electric is the same as in the UK and you will only need a two pin adaptor to be able to use your electric items here.
Mizerna & the local area.
The village is a small mountaineer village that lies on the hillsides of the Gorce National park. In this little village of just over 500 people you can relax and enjoy the charm of traditional Polish country life. Mizerna lies in the beautiful mountain area of Poland called Malopolska (Little Poland) This area is a paradise for those of you that like walking and being close to nature. You can find peace and relaxation just outside the door. The Gorce National Park is located in the mountains just behind the house. Also The Pieniny National Park and Zakopane with the famous Tatra Mountains (That are often called Mini Alps) are just a short drive away. These National parks offer hours and hours of walking in some of the most breath taking countryside to be found in Poland.
