Overview of Edirisa Crafts
Edirisa is a society for promoting Africa, Creativity, Cultures and Practical Skills
All of the proceeds from these Craft sales goes back into the community in
Uganda, partly to organise workshops for the craft makers, dealing with
topics like health or business and to develop new techniques and craft
designs together. The money is also used to fund Edirisa's educational
projects, in which children's education is improved through teaching
them English and fostering creativity and practical skills
‘Edirisa
Crafts’ are a selection of crafts made mostly by Ugandan people. This is
their chance to earn something right from their village, where income
opportunities are otherwise scarce
Edirisa's work with local communities is based on the principles of 'Fair Trade'.
We determine the prices together with the producers (they get 50 - 75%
of the final price), pay them as soon as they deliver their products,
build a long-term relationship with them and help them develop
attractive crafts
Please Support this charity project by buying some crafts for gifts, or for your own home
