The seller is a retired professional living and selling from FAREHAM in Hampshire.  Has collected, bought and sold coins since the 1960's.  This is now very largely a hobby and the hand produced  items are displayed on designed cards,  The card is high quality also hand plied.  There is a lot of work involved on every item and costs are very high in proportiion to the start price.  It is just as well that it is a hobby !!!

The name of "elderlybill" has been "borrowed"   I have collected coins since the early 60's. In 1967 I was living in the New Forest and met an old boy called Bill. 84 years old .  When sending cards to his friends he always attached real traditional Silver Lucky Sixpences, 'Tanners' or Silver 'Joeys' to them. I suspect that not that many years previously it would have bought them a 'Pint'.This gave me the idea and I have sold Lucky silver coins, particularily Sixpences for Birthdays, on and off, since then.  Local shop, through friends, word of mouth and papers.
