We specialise in :
- Historical books and documents. In particular, books on local, social and transport history, which help readers find out more about how our ancestors lived.
- Unusual curios and antiques. Keep a regular eye on my listings and you will usually find something a little bit different.
- We always have a large stock of Audio books in our ebay shop - which help take the boredom out of long car journeys.
- Quality children's toys - to keep your little ones happy.
- We have recently extended our shop to include ladies clothing. In particular, we have just taken delivery of beautiful dresses - just the thing to treat yourself for that special event or outing.

Post and packing
We use recycled cardboard boxes and packing materials - to keep P&P charges low.
Our parcels are extremely robustly packed - the glazed items have several layers of cardboard and bubble-wrap, the ceramics and always bubble-wrapped and boxed.
Some of our recent buyers have said:
- "took me 2 hours to unwrap it." - a mirror.
- "you could have thrown it off a 20 storey building and I think it would have bounced."
- "best wrapped parcel I've ever seen"
Lead time
We try to ship within 2 working days of receiving payment. Sometimes, the same day - for early payers. If you are in a hurry (special occasion), please let us know when paying and I'll make sure your package gets on its way as soon as possible.
Returns
We aim to make my condition reports as accurate as possible but if the item does not meet the buyer's expectations, we offer a full refund (via paypal), or (if available), a replacement item. The buyer decides which option is preferred.
Missing items
All items are shipped using standard post or Parcel force (dependent on weight). We always obtain a certificate of posting. For high value items, 'recorded/registered' service is used, - please note that it will need to be signed for or collected from your local sorting office. We always insure items up to the end price value. This is included in the post and packing fee.
Overseas Bidders
We regularly ship overseas and have many satisfied customers from all around the world. Note that prices quoted within the listings are UK-based. If bidders are from overseas, then email us and we will pack the item and obtain an accurate postage quote. This will be 'at cost'.
We always provide 2 options - airmail or surface. Please do this a day or 2 before the auction closes - to give us time to do the packing.
Note that heavy items are very expensive to ship, so it really is worth getting an idea of shipping costs before bidding - to prevent any nasty surprises.
We have found that it is only practical to ship upto 2 kilos in weight, otherwise the price gets silly (£30+).
Communication and Feedback
We keep in contact throughout the transaction process : invoices at auction end, email receipt upon payment, and email to confirm despatch.
We always leave feedback - as soon as we receive confirmation that the parcel has arrived safely at its destination.
