From Sidestreet to SUPERHIGHWAY
Established in 1994 as a shop in the centre of the historic British City of Gloucester, The Enthusiast spent over ten years servicing the needs of local collectors of diecast models, action figures, American comics, trading cards and other memorabilia under the management of proprietor Edward Grainger. Early in 2004 the decision was taken to move the business into cyberspace, increasing our presence on ebay while continuing to supply our loyal core of established subscribers locally. Consequently on June 19th 2004 our premises in Bull Lane closed, to be replaced by online and mail-order service which we hope prove as valuable to our local clentele as the "old" way of doing things, while multiplying our transactions throughout Britain and overseas.

Since 2004 the shape of our business has changed so that die-cast models and action figures are gradually being phased out to make way for yet more comics and the proprietor's new-found obsession (as of Opening Day 2007 at Tampa Bay), Baseball !
