In addition, Fabrum offers SAP calculations and Home Energy Ratings as part of the April 2006 building regulations (Part L) for new dwellings and developments.

The calculation method adopted within the UK regulations is referred to as the Standard Assessment Process (SAP) and is based on the REDEMModel developed by the Building Research Establishment (BRE).  Building fabric, insulation, air tightness, ventilation, heating, hot water and lighting system performance must all be included in this assessment.  National Home Energy Rating (NHER), is an additional scheme providing a more comprehensive energy efficiency profile beyond that required by building control.
