Hi - i'm Gary
Just a quick note to explain how i do business on Ebay so you can feel reassured with any transaction you have with me.
I firmly believe that no problem cannot be overcome with honesty, fairness, and a little patience.
If i buy from you and there is a problem, i will always contact you to try and resolve the issue.
If i sell to you, then i hope you will extend me the same courtesy in the event of a problem. I would never deliberately sell any item in either an unworking condition, or not as described.
I treat people how i would wish to be treated myself.
Lack of communication is the main cause of many Ebay problems.
We all make mistakes - it's human - but it's how you deal with them that is the key factor.
This is also the reason i always leave Feedback AFTER the whole transaction has taken place. Feedback isn't just about speed of payment.
Here's an example of a common, and easily avoidable problem i've sadly come across with pc software as a seller -
(1) Buyer purchases game
(2) Buyer receives game
(3) Buyer has problems with game
(4) Buyer gets angry
(5) Buyer leaves Negative feedback
(6) Seller contacts buyer about problem & Negative Feedback and finds the problem is related to the buyers PC - e.g. pc not powerful enough to run the game, graphics card not updated, wrong Windows type etc, etc (basically compatibility)
(7) Buyer calms down and realises it's neither a disk fault, or the sellers fault, and apologises (hopefully!)
OUTCOME - Seller is left with totally unfair Negative Feedback and an unjustly tarnished reputation.
Also, if the seller had already given the buyer a Positive Feedback on the basis of paying quickly, it wouldn't be a true reflection of the transaction as a whole would it? Quick payment is always a good thing though! :)
I wouldn't do this to you, so please don't do it to me. Simply email me. Any good seller worth his salt will be more than willing to help.
From my experience as a buyer, i know it can be very frustrating when sellers are not as helpful as they could be, and it can leave a bad taste in the mouth, but remember - when dealing with me - you will always be in safe hands :)
Fortunately, most Ebayers i've come across have been good to deal with
I take all transactions seriously as people's hard earned money is being handed over.
I test all my items, but in the rare event of a problem, i will always replace an item or refund in full.
Unlike many other sellers, if an item is returned to me and proves to be faulty, i will always also refund the buyers return postage costs. I don't expect a buyer to have to pay for MY mistake.
Thats it from me - i've rambled on for far too long - i hope that any transaction i have with you will be a pleasant, friendly one.
Keep smiling,
Gary
Oh - and here's the name of a thoroughly trustworthy, fellow Ebay seller who may just have a gem or two that you may have been after for a while, not to mention a bundle of other goodies
