Music Beats Mines is a campaign from MAG (Mines Advisory Group) to raise vital funds for its humanitarian work clearing landmines and other remnants of conflict for the benefit of communities worldwide. For three months we've been making noise for peace by holding fundraising events here, there and everywhere, now we're making bids for peace!
All the money raised from the Music Beats Mines auction will go towards MAG's lifesaving operations worldwide.
MAG moves into current and former conflict zones to clear the remnants of those conflicts, enabling recovery and assisting the development of affected populations. MAG consults with local communities and works to lessen the threat of death and injury, while releasing reclaimed and safe land and other vital resources back to the local population, helping countries to rebuild and develop their social and economic potential.
MAG currently works in 17 countries worldwide including Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Angola, Columbia, Iraq, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Lebanon, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Somalia, Cyprus, Chad, Republic of Congo, Gaza and Burundi.
