December 2003 was my introduction to a completely new aspect in the method of selling antiques and collectables. I ventured through the gates of Ebay more by chance than by recomendation or their advertising. Previously I had had shops and shared use in Antique Centres. Trade since the early nineties had become very difficult to make a living from but I have found since working with Ebay that selling on the Internet is far more enjoyable and on a daily basis it appears to continuously generate more customers and a very good cash-flow.
Gizmos Scientific Emporium
It is important to me that all my customers are treated in exactly the same way as I would wish to be treated; if this simple rule is not followed, trading on Ebay would be difficult and quickly lead to withdrawing from Ebay. Now I have gained a great deal of knowledge in the fundamental basics of creating, producing and above all minimising selling costs to achieve a profitable business. The Gizmo Scientific Emporium is now venturing back to a shop. This may appear to be regression but with the support of Ebay, the shop holds stock that is on a 24/7 selling status, enabling customers to view and buy on the WEB or alternatively visit the shop in Tregony which is situated in one of the most beautifull parts of Cornwall called The Peninsular of Roseland.
