Postage and Packing:
Due to the fragile nature of vintage audio equipment, we prefer only to post to the UK. However please contact us for a postage estimate should you live outside of the UK. Additional postage charges for Scottish Highlands and Islands may apply.
All medium to high value items are sent by 'signed delivery'. Low value items (less than £5) are usually sent by standard Royal Mail but can be sent 'recorded delivery' for an additional 70p. Items are posted out usually within 1-3 days of payment being received or cleared and tracking information is available on request.
Although we are keen re-cyclers, we do usually use brand new bubblewrap because vintage record players and radios are fragile and it is essential they are packed correctly for safe delivery using the right packing materials. Our packing is second to none (see the many feedback comments we have received on this) although of course you are welcome to collect if you prefer.
Record Player Information:
All of the record players we sell are supplied with either copies of the original turntable operating instructions or full printed instructions and information on stylus replacement. Please bear in mind that record players during the 1960s are now fifty years old, so all references to cosmetic appearance take the age of the item into account. We renovate them to the best of our ability whilst keeping as much originality and character as felt appropriate.
Electrical Safety:
All of our record players are sold as 'collectors items' due to their age. However all are fitted with mains leads that contain the 'new' up to date colour wiring and 3 pin 'sleeved' plugs with the correct 3 amp fuse. In most cases, this means a brand new mains lead and plug will have been fitted to your record player. As with all vintage electrical items, we advise they are switched off when not in use. An inexperienced person should never attempt to open up a record player (or any electrical item) for their own safety.
Terms of Sale
We ask you to read the item description carefully before bidding and to also view the large supersize photos where provided so you know exactly what you are placing a bid on. In the unlikely event that an item has to be returned to us through no fault of our own we would ask the buyer to pay the return postage but any further postage costs from seller to buyer would be covered.
Finally please view our 1500+ positive feedback rating to see how satisfied buyers who have purchased record players from us have been! As a private collector I would not sell a record player that I would not like to receive myself.
Thankyou and if you have any questions please email through the 'ask seller a question' tab on eBay.
We disclaim all liability for consequential or incidental damage.
