Hope Rescue - What We Do
|
|
I volunteer for Hope Rescue and in an effort to raise funds have started an Ebay Shop, all profits go to Hope Rescue. We always need more volunteers, so please keep reading. Hope Rescue is not a rescue in the conventional sense. We are primarily a co-ordinating rescue. Most of our work involves moving dogs from put to sleep or emergency situations. We secure rescue spaces for these dogs with reputable rescues and we transport them to the rescue. So if you see people at a motor way services moving dogs from one car to another, go and say Hi and see which rescue they are working with. The majority of the dogs we deal with are strays from Local Authority pounds which would otherwise be euthanised once they have completed their statutory 7 days. We also take in pups, elderly and ill dogs ourselves, via a network of fantastic and dedicated foster homes, which enables us to fully assess the dogs in our care prior to rehoming.

You can Help
Hope Rescue is entirely self funded and relies on a fantastic team of volunteers. Our dogs in danger are transported to rescues across the country so, if you have an hour of so to spare, and could help transport them to places of safety, please see our website for more details. Likewise, if you have room in your home and heart to foster a dog and help it on its way to a happy forever home, again please see the website for details. Most of Hope Rescue's outgoings are for medical, boarding and transport costs that cannot be reclaimed through rehoming fees as the dogs are rehomed by other rescues. Fundraising is therefore always an uphill struggle! We are always looking for volunteers to help us raise funds, whether as a one off or as a regular volunteer, details of ways in which you can help can be found on the website. Please spare a minute to go and look: www.hoperescue.org.uk
Or you could always join our friendly forum where all the work goes on and see for yourself Hope in Action
