This Is Me
Right, let's see. I'm a 30 something full time mum of 2. I'm a bit of a technophobe & only discovered the joy of computers a couple of years ago & now I spend most of my spare time attached to mine!I've been ebaying since November 2001 & yes, I'm an addict. The kids are scared to sit still for too long in case I take their photo & measurements for an auction advert!
I'm an impulse buyer who hoards things in the back of cupboards, forgets about them and then finds they're too small, too big, or generally not what I would have bought in the first place had my brain been in full working order at the time of purchase.
My auctions
Most of my auctions are for kiddies clothes or toys. I do not run a business, this is my hobby & a great way of clearing out the unused toys & outgrown clothes. I only sell items that are still in good condition & that I would be happy enough to buy for my own family. The condition of every item is clearly stated in the auction and everything is still fit for its original purpose. The toys are clean and intact and in perfect working order, again unless stated otherwise. I also sell items on behalf of friends & they will be of the same quality.Terms & Conditions
The p&p is clearly stated in all auctions. I post UK items as second class but heavier items are sent as a Royal Mail standard parcel which can take a couple of extra days to arrive. I do try to combine postage on multiple wins but this is not guaranteed, it depends on the weight of the items, so please ask beforehand. Overseas items will be sent Airmail.
I weigh my parcels on my digital kitchen scales & use the Royal Mail website as a price guide. Everything is weighed before I wrap it so it's not completely accurate but it's usually me who's out of pocket. If I vastly overcharge for postage I do send a refund. I will use recycled packaging if it's available to me. I do not set out to make a profit from postage.
I will always email the winning bidder within 24 hours from the end of the auction with all the payment details & expect a response within 3 days. The forms of payment that I accept from UK bidders are Paypal, personal cheque, postal order and DEBT (direct electronic bank transfer). Cheques are subject to a 5 working day clearance. Overseas bidders will need to pay via Paypal.
Payment MUST be received within 7 days from the auction end unless agreed prior to the auction end.
The non paying bidder process will be started after 7 days. I always leave negative feedback for the non payer & reclaim my fees from ebay.
I do not live near to a post office but do try to post parcels at least twice a week & always let my buyers know what is happening with their purchase.
Feedback is important to me. It's the way in which we judge each other. As a seller I always leave my feedback once I've been informed that the parcel has arrived safely. The transaction is not completely over until the buyer is happy with their purchase.
As a buyer I've been very disappointed to receive items that I feel are not of the quality in which they were described. I do not want anyone feeling like that about one of my auctions so please contact me if there's a problem & I will always attempt to resolve it.
