Precious Jewellery is a small business run by two brothers. It is exclusively on the internet, so we can keep our prices as low as possible, cheaper than high street shops like Argos and H. Samuel.
We sell mainly rolled gold bangles, 9ct gold bangles, 9ct gold earrings and 9ct gold rings. We also sell some other items like pendants and chains and men's jewellery and some silver items. We are the only (at time of writing) sellers of the Andralok fitting for earrings and Andraslide fitting for earrings for unpierced ears. If there are items you want which we do not sell and you think we might be able to help you with, contact us and we'll do what we can to source them for you.
We are based at 18 Holmdene Avenue, Mill Hill, London NW7 2NA.
Frequently asked questions:
What does postage and packing cost?
Postage and packing is included free with the purchase of an item. When an item needs to be sent twice, for example to change size of ring, there is a charge for postage of £2 for standard first class and £3 for recorded first class postage.
Do you accept returns?
We accept returns on all items except earrings. Returns are accepted if notice is given within 7 days of expected receipt of the item. If goods have not been received, notification of non-receipt must be given within 5 working days of dispatch for buyers in the U.K. or within 10 working days for buyers outside the U.K. to be eligible for an extension. For health and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of earrings. Earrings that have been worn carry a risk of infection. Earrings that have been dispatched and returned cannot be proven to be safe from risk, so cannot be resold. Therefore, earrings that have been dispatched are deemed used, even if they've never been worn, and are not accepted as returns. This is a standard policy amongst high street jewellers as well.
Are all your items hallmarked?
Items under 1 gram of gold do not require a hallmark. All items made of 9 carat gold above 1 gram are hallmarked. Similarly, sterling silver items are hallmarked. Rolled gold items are not solid gold so do not have a hallmarked. They are stamped RG.
What is rolled gold?
Rolled gold is 9 carat gold that has been wrapped around a base metal before being manufactured into the bangle. This alloy is then coated with a further layer of gold to give the bangle its beautiful finish. It is NOT like and does NOT wear off like gold-plated.
What happens if the item doesn't arrive?
Items can be delayed in the post. If it is delayed, you must contact me within 5 working days. I do not consider an item lost until 10 working days (15 working days outside the U.K.) have passed since the item was dispatched. Therefore, no action will be taken until that time. After that I will try to resolve the problem.
