'J.W.W.' is John W. White, from Wimbledon in London.

From time to time things will go wrong.  For example, the question of condition can always be difficult with second hand items and sometimes new products will be faulty.  In practice you can only look at feedback, ask questions and judge whether the seller is likely to play fair.

Details about methods of payment etc. will be shown on the item description, but I have listed below some additional formal terms of trade, as eBay requires.  However, in practice I think life is less stressful if your policy is to treat people as you would like to be treated yourself.  So, if there is a problem, please get in touch.  You won't just get an automated e-mail response.

Returning Goods

If you want to return something, write or e-mail within seven days of receiving the goods. Items must then be posted back or otherwise shipped by the buyer at the buyer's expense and risk, to be received no later than seven days after they have given notice of their intent to return them.  A refund will be given for goods returned in the same condition in which they were shipped - CDs, DVDs, software and similar items must not have been unsealed.  Refunds for items not at fault will be subject to a 25% handling charge.

Our address for returns & enquiries is:

Collections by appointment only.

Loss or Damage in Transit

Goods are normally sent by Royal Mail and there is an option to use some form of recorded delivery.  For some people this is inconvenient and they prefer ordinary post.  If a recorded delivery item is damaged or lost, after waiting the period required by the post office I will  make a claim with the post office and refund your money. For items sent by ordinary post, the buyer must make the claim.  I will have obtained a certificate of posting and will be happy to assist in this.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if anything is unclear or if these terms seem unreasonable for the particular item you are buying.  Thanks for your interest.

J.W.W.
