Welcome to my auctions. This page is to tell you a little about myself and to outline the terms and conditions under which I sell. Please take the time to read the terms and conditions, particularly those relating to payment. By bidding or buying an item, you have agreed to these terms and conditions.
Please also see my reviews and guides for information about avoiding fake Mac products on eBay - a worrying amount of this is sold to unsuspecting buyers (click on my username in any listing, then 'view my review and guides' at the top right).
Me
Having both bought and sold on eBay for some time, I now only sell occasional used items on eBay. My new Mac items are now sold on another auction site, as I am no longer prepared to sell my genuine Mac items on eBay where the majority of Mac sold is counterfeit.
The site I now sell on allows me to offer a more extensive range of items (well over 400), charge less for combined postage (this is due entirely to lower fees than eBay charges) and there are nothing like as many counterfeit items for sale there either.
Auction Information + Terms & Conditions
General
All items are genuine and authentic. There has been an uncorrected fault in eBay since June 2008 that will NOT allow sellers to specify items as used. eBay have been aware of this since then - they introduced this error when making other changes, but have totally failed to rectify it, so do read all listings carefully before bidding.
I generally only sell used items on eBay now, plus occasional duplicates - this is because I can offer a wider choice elsewhere and charge lower postage too (due to lower fees than on eBay). I am extremely hygiene conscious (I have my own professional brushes which are washed after every use) and any tested or used items will still be in excellent condition.
I strive to take photos which show the colour as accurately as possible, and only photograph in natural daylight for the most accurate colour representation possible. I will also include a colour description, but please remember that colour perception is very subjective. Your idea of taupe may not be the same as mine. Do check out the Mac website, but their colour swatches can be pretty misleading as I know to my cost - you are far better off checking the colour in-store if you can.
I reserve the right to cancel any bids where the bidder's feedback gives me cause for concern, or I have contacted the bidder to confirm their intentions and received no response. I hope this won't be necessary.

Postage + Postage Discounts
All items are now sent signed for when PayPal is used as a payment method. PayPal policies make this necessary for fraud protection. If you wish to pay by another method, your package need not be sent signed for and you can pay lower postage costs. I post every morning the Post Office is open - if your cleared payment reaches me by 10.00pm, your package will be posted the next morning possible.
If you wish to pay with PayPal your payment MUST be eligible for PayPal seller insurance.
All items will be sent in either a jiffy bag, or a mailing bag with bubble wrap - I will never just send an item in an envelope! I post every day except Sundays, and your item will normally be posted the next posting day after cleared payment is received.
All items (auction and buy-it-now) may be combined for postage discount within 3 days of end of first item. Postage combination over a longer period than exactly 3 days is only by prior arrangement. Please request an invoice before making payment to receive this discount.
Payment Policy
Payment for all items must be received within 5 days of first item purchased. Items unpaid after 5 days are reported through the eBay unpaid item process.
Bidders outside of the United Kingdom must pay with PayPal, alternative payment methods are only accepted from UK bidders. Please note all prices are in £GBP - British Pounds.
PayPal payment
Please note: to pay with PayPal you MUST be eligible for PayPal Seller Protection. PayPal's policy regarding fraud where they have refused insurance makes this restriction essential. Payments from addresses which PayPal decides are NOT eligible for insurance will be refunded, and payment must then be made by an alternative method. Please remember that is is PAYPAL who decides if they will insure you or not, I have NO influence in this matter. I reserve the right to reject PayPal payments on a case by case basis for any transaction.
Payments by e-check (through PayPal) are not accepted. These payments take 10-12 days to be paid into my account, and therefore do not meet my terms of payment within 5 days. The type of payment your PayPal account sends, and how long it take to be paid to me, are matters that are entirely between yourself and PayPal. I have no control or influence over this.
Postal Order/Cheque Payment Cheque payment is no longer accepted. Postal Orders must NOT be crossed. A crossed Postal Order is simply a cheque you paid the Post Office to write for you (no different to one from your own cheue book) and cheque payments are not accepted. If you send a crossed Postal Order by mistake, I will not accept this as payment for an eBay item but will return this to you on receipt of return postage costs.
Other Method
If you wish to pay by any other method, you must contact me prior to bidding/purchase to request agreement to this.
Please specify your payment method within 3 days of auction or item end, and complete payment within 5 days. Any items unpaid after 5 days will be reported to eBay as unpaid - no exceptions without prior agreement (I am reasonable, but if you do not contact me I have to assume you do not intend to honour your legal obligation to pay for your purchase).
Copying of listings/Photographs - all photographs and listing texts are my own work and reproduction without prior written permission is not permitted. Any unauthorised re-use of either my text or images will be reported to eBay. I am very disappointed that a recent buyer has made it necessary to state this.
Returns
I don't accept returns for hygiene reasons, unless the product is faulty or I have factually misrepresented it.
